Dreaming of a beach getaway? Then our Beach House at Wallabi Point is the place to be. Whether you have a large family or want to get away with friends, the Beach House is large enough to accommodate 12 people comfortably. There are 6 bedrooms in total with a King bed, a Queen bed and a Double bed as well as 2 single beds with trundles and a bunk bed - ideal for a group getaway. There are two large bathrooms so that there won't be queues as well as an outdoor shower for when you come back from the beach and need to get the sand off your feet. There are two living room areas - one for watching movies, sport or taking an afternoon nap and the other is perfect for chatting over a coffee or reading a book as you relax with a gentle sea breeze. The younger visitors will enjoy the large backyard and cubby house as well as the DVDs, games and books on offer. And dogs are more than welcome to join in the experience as the property is fully fenced and dog food and water bowls are available in the laundry. The house is designed so that the whole group can come together but can also easily spend time apart and not feel cramped.
We have made sure that the pantry is well-stocked with all the essentials and a coffee machine is on hand to get you going in the mornings. Old Bar is only a 5 minute drive away if you are looking for something to eat (Blowfish Street Food), a cafe, restaurant or an awesome bar (Flow Bar) with live music and excellent coffee and meals. There is also a large Coles supermarket in Old Bar so you don't need to worry about bringing supplies with you or forgetting essential items. Once you've stocked up there is a large outdoor entertaining area with BBQ and beach views and if you choose to eat indoors, we have a large extendable dining table that seats 12 comfortably. Picnics are always fun too and you'll find a picnic basket which you can fill with your favourite picnic food and head to the picnic area nearby at Saltwater National Park.
Wallabi Point is a magical spot on the coast - close enough to Forster and Port Macquarie and far enough away to feel like you have left the busy-ness of life behind you so you can relax and enjoy all that the area has to offer.
Surfing, boogie boarding and swimming in the surf are all possible with a 2 minute walk to two of the best beaches on the coast. And if you don't know how to surf - not a problem - Saltwater Surf School operates out of Wallabi Point! If kitesurfing is more your thing, Old Bar, a 5 minute drive away, is a world reknowned spot for excellent kitesurfing conditions.
If you prefer kayaking and bushwalking, Saltwater National Park is 5 mins away. And if you want to bring your boat, there are public boat ramps along the Manning River just a 20 minute drive away.
Feel free to use our binoculars or bring your own, if you want to go birdwatching or whale-watching. In the evening, if you feel like doing some star-gazing we have a telescope in the upstairs living room. We've also left some bicycles in the garage for your use if you feel like touring around and getting some exercise.
And if you want to squeeze in a spot of shopping, there are a variety of different markets that are on in the area each weekend where you can pick up fresh, local produce or locally crafted items to take back home with you.
We adore this part of the world and know you will too if crowds and tourists are what you want to avoid. Come visit - kick back, relax and enjoy the best that the mid North Coast of NSW has to offer.
