Sun Villa is the ideal setting for a great family holiday, set in an ancient olive grove by the Aegean sea. It is one of only 10 villas built around a large beautiful pool which you will usually have all to yourselves. The villa has lovely sea and mountain views from its upper and lower terraces, both are perfect for outdoor eating, or just relaxing and enjoying the views at anytime of day. The upper terrace has a teak table and chairs, shaded by a terracotta tiled roof which keeps it cool even at midday. The lower terrace has comfortable outside sofas which are perfect for a relaxing drink as the sun goes down or enjoying the view of the bay by candlelight in the evenings.
There is also a mature private garden shaded by the ancient olive trees, with bougainvillea, oleander, hibiscus, banana tree and with a gas BBQ. The villa has 3 double bedrooms (one with twin beds) and 3 bathrooms (one en-suite) and is fully air-conditioned. Downstairs is a spacious open plan terracotta tiled living room, and a separate casual seating area, both have patio doors leading onto the upper terrace and garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge-freezer, stove and dishwasher. There is a washing machine in the main bathroom upstairs. There is free wifi access and a flat screen TV, and all bed linen and beach towels are provided.
The villa is within walking distance of the beaches and restaurants of the small town of Gundogan on the Bodrum peninsula, which is increasingly known as the 'Riviera of Turkey'. The villa is just 10 minutes drive from the very popular town of Yalikavak with its new marina and beautiful sunsets. Gundogan is a 40 minute drive from Bodrum airport, and we recommend hiring a car to explore the many little coastal villages and beaches around the peninsula, as well as Bodrum Town with its spectacular castle and under-water archaeology museum, lovely marina, many shops and lively bars and restaurants.
thank you for a wonderful, relaxing holiday in a beautiful villa which was tasteful, clean and had everything we needed and more! our teenage boys had a great time in the pool and also trying out all the water sports in the bay. we really enjoyed sitting on the covered terrace having a glass of our wine with our barbecue! the local restaurants were excellent too and there was so much to visit further afield. the weather was perfect and the view glorious day and night. One of our best family holidays!
Arrived to villa and was immediately was in love!! Beautiful garden and sea views especially from the balconies. Pool area was very nice with the bonus of getting very strong wifi signal there so was able listen to music from spotify/watch YouTube while sunbathing which was ideal. The villa itself was superb, very spacious and fully equipped. Also great large area outside for dining in the warm Turkish evening. The location itself was perfect being only a short walk from the sea/town/supermarket where we would often go at night for dinner (seafood was delicious!). Finally the gardener would come round at some point everyday and was very helpful. Overall the stay here was amazing, would definitely recommend and would stay here again!!
Nice villa with sea view. We (two adults and two boys 10 + 13 years old) enjoyed the spacious villa and garden and also the large pool: most of the time it was our private pool because other guests didn't use it much. We liked Gundogan and the nearby villages Golturkbuku, Yalikavak, Gumusluk and Turgut Reis more than crowded Bodrum. Perfect place for a relaxed holiday.
Just back from a lovely week in this clean, comfortable and spacious villa. Lots of room for all of the family to have their own space and great terrace for long evening meals. Very large pool - big enough for 'real swimming' as well as pool games. We had to ourselves on this start of season holiday. Great location as could walk to choice of numerous great restaurants on the bay. Lovely not having to use the car and gave everyone independence-would be ideal for teenagers who needed some freedom. Great promenade around bay ideal for early morning jogging too. Lots to do and great markets to buy and try new foods. Weather perfect and hospitality of locals was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend for the whole family,
Diane and Colin
We had a very enjoyable stay in this well-equipped villa with attractive setting and great views out over the bay. House is very comfortable and pool area is clean and well looked after.
Gundogan itself is a nice, smaller resort , quieter than some of the other places on the peninsula but works as a great base for exploring the rest of the area.
We stayed at the villa for a fantastic 7 days in August. Guaranteed sunshine every day. A beautiful view from the villa across the bay of Gundogan, particularly at night with all the lights twinkling in the balmy air. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you could need, including a superb pool. Air conditioning in the house and a lovely cooling breeze outside. We ate out at some excellent but very reasonably priced restaurants in the town and in Yalikavak and Gumusluk but also cooked some delicious fish; only £12 for 5 big fat sea bream!
This is a perfect holiday destination, highly recommended.
Local beaches, restaurants and shops are a short stroll, so a car is not essential. The sea is 200m away, with a handful of pretty local restaurants right on the water’s edge with jetties for sunbathing and dining. A 15 min stroll around the bay brings you to the heart of the fishing village of Gundogan. The village has a wide range of waterside restaurants, 2 beaches, a harbour, and supermarket. On the bay you can enjoy a wide variety of water sports including wind surfing, dinghy sailing, diving, pedalloes, fishing, swimming, snorkelling and daily boat trips. There is a new golf course 15 mins drive away and local horse riding The village is on the quiet north shore of the Bodrum peninsula on Turkey’s beautiful Aegean coast. The airport is only a 35 min drive away. A car is recommended to explore the many pretty fishing villages and beaches in the area, and to visit Bodrum with its castle, amphitheatre, water park and marina. There are many ancient sites to visit including Ephesus
Other Activities: Daily boat trips along the coast with snorkling and bbq, ferry to Kos for day trip, exploring ancient ruins
