Comfortable and great location
The Lodge has everything you need - just remember to bring your own sheets and towels.
Cozy place in a wild landscape
This was a well appointed attractive home away from home in a wild region of Australia's snowies. Comfortable rooms with warm beds and sitting spaces and panoramas over the western reaches of Lake Eucumbene. Easy parking with a small store nearby. Walk outside to high country woodland and across the rocky scree slopes to the lake. Back at night to open fire, books, and holiday games.
Great Property as always
Always enjoy the stay here , very small thing would be good to have a slightly better type 4th bed for 4th person but really not that big deal
Place is fantastic and great view/location .
Will be back again
Thanks Gus, you are always welcome! I take it that one of the single beds is less comfortable than the other? I wasn't aware of that, so thanks for the feedback.
Beautiful old school charm
Loved our stay. The view is so beautiful, there is so much space & the main bed is so comfortable. Most areas look freshly painted & the bathroom is spacious & clean. We used the kitchen to cook all meals & found it great.
Main heating was down but Carole had organised so many other heaters even on our second day & we ended up being totally cosey. Thanks Carole.
I find this place priced appropriately, it wont have things like salt, pepper, oil, bed sheets but I think that would be a nice touch & charge a bit extra? otherwise its very easy to make do : ) . We did not sit on the couch, it was really uncomfortable & there is no vodafone reception until near Cooma. If you run a business, you can only do 1800 reverse calls so make other arrangements.
I ended up enjoying some time off work & being offline. I would definitely come back but I wont do so at night, that near by caravan park looks like something out of a horror movie. Sorry Carole but LOVE LOVE LOVE THE LODGE
Thanks Elle, glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry we can't provide bed linen, but it's because we don't have washing facilities at the moment. We hope to change this in the future. Thanks also for the feedback about the kitchen condiments - we'll aim to do better on this! We can't do much about the phone coverage - you will have the same problem wherever you stay in the region. And yes, it IS very dark at night, but I've never heard of anything bad happening at the caravan park, ha ha. You are welcome back any time!
We loved our stay at Fibbers Lodge (Unit 1). The lodge has beautiful lake views and has an old world charm. The kitchen has been updated since the pictures on here and was clean and well maintained. Foxtel was great for the kids on a rainy day and there were also some board games to play of a night. We were close to Mt Selwyn for the snow and Adaminaby had a pub, bowling club and some little shops. I would suggest bringing groceries as the local store in Adaminaby is quite small amd expensive. I don't think we could fault the accommodation although on windy nights there was a big draft coming from under the servery window that we blocked off with blankets. It would be good to have a "how to" for the electric fanned fireplace as well for newbies like us! The beds were nice and comfortable and we were nice and toasty with the blankets provided. We will definitely book again next year. Our kids (4 & 6) had a ball and loved their time at the lodge.
Thanks Kate, we look forward to welcoming you and your family back again!
The house had everything we needed. It was cosy and spacious for our family of 4. The view across the lake was amazing! The amenities provided were clean and usable. The bathroom is updated and modern. We found it a little dark, even with all the lights on.
Thanks Rachel, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. You are welcome to come back any time.
