My husband Tom and I have lived on Grand Island for most of our lives. We know and love this area because of it's natural beauty and plentiful activities. Tom is a naturalist and sportsman who has been birding, fishing, boating and hunting the Niagara Region his entire life. I love to hike ,bike and run the many beautiful places on Grand Island and Niagara Falls.
We are excited to open up this very special home to our guests and know that you will enjoy the serene country setting.
Our home has the privacy of a quiet neighborhood while still being 10 mins from the Falls and 5 minutes from all the conveniences you need for a wonderful vacation.
Our home offers a quiet retreat after a long day of sightseeing. Grand Island is unique because it is surrounded by the Niagara River offering plentiful areas to enjoy the water. It is the perfect place to enjoy the Niagara area!
My family of 7 (including my husband and I, and both adult children and children under 10) stayed in this wonderful house. Nancy and Tom were a delight to work with and stayed in touch with us through the planning process. Tom met us at the house and gave us a warm welcome.
The house was very clean and well maintained. There was a map of Niagara Falls which he kindly reviewed with us and told us of other local things to do. Nancy informed us of some of the festivals going on that weekend which was appreciated. There was cheese and fruit awaiting us and even popsicles for the kids. These extra touches were very thoughtful.
They were very accomodating and very fair and thoughtful in their interactions.
This was the first time we have rented a house and they made the experience extremely positive and something I would do again without hesitation.
We built great memories at this house with our family, and this will go down as one of the best family vacations we have had. Thanks so much Tom and Nancy for contributing to a very memorable, enjoyable vacation.
This was the third time I rented the cottage from this website and had a good time with my family. Nancy and her husband were greeted us warmly and was very easy to contact.
We built great memories at this house with our family, and this will go down as one of the best family vacations we have had. Thanks so much Tom and Nancy for contributing to a very memorable.
Property was well maintained and accommodated 4 adults and 3 toddlers perfectly. The laundry room is large enough for a pack n play and has ventilation. We had no needs while we were there but I got the impression the owners were very available and happy to help with anything. Thanks
The house was very clean, had nice yard, quiet neighbors. It was perfect. their were 6 of us that fit comfortably and room to spare when we had some guess over to visit. fully stocked on blankets, towels, kitchen, and laundry, even a fire pit in the back yard off the patio!
the home owners were great and easy to work with. quick 15 minutes to Buffalo and the falls. I would stay there again and recommend it to everyone
only note: if you plan on cooking bring your own knives and cutting boards.
The house was exactly as described and our host Nancy was very friendly. She always replied to correspondence, met us at the house as arranged and all was in order. The house was neat and clean and nearby to the attractions (Falls area) as described. Nancy also provided us with good tips on nearby restaurants and amenities. She even provided a welcome platter for us to enjoy.
Thanks very much Nancy for a lovely weekend - I would definitely recommend for those wanting to stay in the area.
My family had a nice stay at Tim and Nancy's cottage on Grand Island. The home is comfortable, with plenty of space in the three bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and cozy family room. The location is in a quiet neighborhood away from the commercial areas of Niagara Falls, but an easy drive to points of interest. Our three nights there went very well. We enjoyed dining at the local seafood restaurant a few blocks away. The home is not fancy, but if you plan to stay in the area and don't mind driving to the local attractions, a very affordable place to stay!
