About Sharee Darmody
We are a family run Business. Our 2500 acre property runs Merino Sheep for Wool and cross bred sheep for meat. We decided to start up our farm stay so other families could experience the beauty, space and peace of country life. We think it is improtant for everyone especially children to experience a little bit of the great Australian Country life. My husband and I do work 7 days a week as is the normal in the country, but love what we do. I also have a fitness business where I run Pilates classes and walking groups. We like to keep active and healthy and share a littlre bit of what we have here.

Lovely private cottage, big enough for the seven of us; well appointed and clean. Had a great stay.
Lovely group. They left our cottage spotless, which we so appreciated. Hope they come back soon.
Views for days
Wantana Cottage on a working sheep farm is a delight. Beautiful home baked bread and farm fresh eggs on arrival. A cosy, comfortable cottage with views for days. The sunsets were magic and Toby the dog is pretty cute too! Thank you for having me. X
A beautiful, spotless cottage in a setting that soothes the soul. Very welcoming hosts.
Our first FarmStay experience and we absolutely loved it. The cottage had everything we needed and was spotless. Our hosts were available, but also gave us space - and thank you again for the warm, fresh bread - such lovely hospitality. Set in a beautiful setting perfect for long walks, captivating sunsets and board games over a glass of rest!
Gabrielle, so glad you enjoyed your stay with us at Wantana Farmstay. I am sorry I was not there to greet you, but I am sure my son (Ben) or husband (Bill) looked after you.
Would love for you to stay with us again sometime
Memorable stay over the Easter weekend
My family and I (2 adults, 3 kids) had the pleasure of staying at the Wantana Cottage Farm Stay over the Easter long weekend, 2019. The excitement from the kids really ratcheted when we arrived at the front gate. Once past the gate there is a typical country dirt driveway that winds up past the host's house then through another gate down to the cosy cottage. Although small there was plenty of room for us to spread out, and we spent most of the time outside where we were blessed with unseasonably warm days and perfect blue skies. The cottage pretty much had everything we needed to wash, cook, and relax. I do suggest taking some aerogard though as the insects will descend during sunset. The local town is less than 10 minutes away, and has an IGA shop for the general groceries. As it was Easter it wasn't always open so we had a day trip to nearby Young (around 50 minutes away) and could find more items at their Woolworths. The hosts of Wantana Cottage were absolutely lovely and made the time to say hello even though they are both hard working people. Sharee also made our day when she presented us with a full hamper, complete with straight-out-of-the-oven bread!
The cottage and the surroundings made it very easy to relax, and my wife and I spent many hours in the afternoons watching the sun come down over the glorious scenic landscape surrounding us.
Jason's family was a delight to have. A Lovely family whom we would love to have back another time.
