I have been booking my parents house for 2 years now with very good success, so my sister, brother, and myself decided to buy our own furnished home to lease out. I am currently working for a large landlord in the Green Bay market with another 16 years of sales experience in the flooring industry.
Jonathan purchased this House in 2016
Why Jonathan chose Green Bay
Close to Lambeau is the best thing, second we went with large beds no twins, large driveway for all your vehicles, and we have the best owners in Green Bay.
What makes this House unique
Two king beds two Queen beds no twins not rented as a Packer party house, but a place to feel at home while in town for work or play.
100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
Perfect for a Packer game
First, if you are looking for 5 star accommodations, this isn’t it. It is clean and it sleeps a lot of people and is exactly as it claims, it is a great place to hang out for a Packer game. I would give it a five just for that, but one bathroom knocks it down to a 4. We had 8 guys (2 per bedroom) and it took a little group management to get us all showered and through the one bathroom, but it all worked out. The weather was warm, so we were able to sit in the garage, and on the back patio, and even in the driveway. If you are attending a December game, I would bring a couple heaters for the garage and do the same. That way any spills won’t matter. They had a ton of towels for us, and even supplied some shampoo and body wash. Everything worked in the house. No issues there. It was 85+ degrees and we used the AC and it worked perfect. It’s about 3-4 blocks to the stadium. Not bad at all. We walked down Saturday night as well and listened to some bands. There is a Dairy Queen grill and chill across the street, a gas station/convenience store across the street, an off sale across the street, and a Target Superstore a block away for groceries. Very convenient for everything. The neighbors were nice as we were all Vikings fans and they joked with us a bit. Lots of parking. We had four cars and could have fit four more. Johnathan was responsive all the way through and even dropped us an extra outdoor garbage can the day we arrived, and we filled it! Haha. Overall, if you just need a place for 8 folks to enjoy a Packers game, it is perfect as long as you don’t require the Ritz Carlton.
Glad you had a good time; we have thought about adding an extra bath just hard to squeeze into the space. We did add a shower to our whirlpool tub, so there is a much larger shower now.
Very nice layout, clean, good central location. Thank you!
Great communication from owner throughout our stay. Short drive/walk to Lambeau Field. Thank you!
Well appointed and so close to Lambeau Field! We enjoyed the backyard and the park close by!
The house is in a great location. It is roomy and has a big backyard.
The owner responded quickly to any questions we had. Also, he was willing to provide insight on the area if needed.
Spacious home in a great location
The owner Jonathan was very flexible in our arrival date which really was helpful. The house is large and clean. We had 2 families (9 people) and had plenty of room. There was a patio in the backyard. The location is fantastic and was central to all the activities we picked. There was even a park just down the block. I would recommend staying here.
Book with caution!
At first sight the property was okay, but could use a good cleaning. My second night at the property I was laying in bed and out of the corner of my eye saw something crawling on my pillow. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a bed bug. I contacted the owner which had suggested that I go buy new pillows or sleep in a different bedroom, like that would solve anything. After stating my disappointment with his solution, the owner stated he didn’t know what I wanted him to do about it (obviously, bed bugs aren’t a big deal to him) hopefully local authorities will help give him some insight how serious the matter really is. Luckily, I had a cargo trailer which all my belongings were placed and fumigated, so I didn’t take any unpleasant pests with me. The owner only gave a partial refund, guessing he felt he was still do something for subjecting me to bed bugs, so a huge THANK YOU to VRBO, in the event this ever happens to other users, VRBO really took care of me after I vacated the property.
I hope the owner will do more research and think about hiring a pest inspector, or for VRBO to mandate quarterly inspection reports to keep an owners profile active on their site, if you have multiple renters in a property it’s the ethical thing to do.
We are really sorry that our guest had to deal with this situation; we did have the house inspected no signs of any other activity or any bugs. They actually have dogs trained to detect them, who knew. We did still remove the mattress, box spring, and frame from the room, and replaced them. Before his arrival we had a single lady staying their for three months, who did get visited by her parents. Before that both my family stayed their for Christmas, and my wife’s for New Years, so we had no known problem before his visit. I will say she had left just left when our guest booked the house for his stay two days later. Since we had a longer term guest every blanket, mattress pad pillowcase was washed before his stay. We noticed nothing on any of the mattresses that would have alerted us to any problems. We did have to clean the house in one day after a longer stay, so we might not have dusted the pictures, furniture... as if we had more time or had more guests coming and going. We did have a group come for the marathon since this incident and they had a great time. In conclusion I am sorry this happened, but I have done everything to check the house out, and I am confident that your stay will be an enjoyable one. Thank you for taking your time to read my response.
