About Vikash Patel

I am a city professional living with my wife in the house next door to the one listed. Having lived in Twickenham for 15+ years, I'm fairly knowledgeable about the local area as well as central London if you have any questions.

I believe in only offering a property that is clean and to the standards that I would want to live in. Happy to accommodate requests and specific needs where possible.

Thanks for your interest.

Why Vikash Patel chose Twickenham

This home was purchased for my sister to live in. However one of them is now engaged and while it's fully furnished it is vacant until she is ready to move in.

What makes this house unique

The quiet, secure and peaceful neighbourhood with friendly neighbours is a rare find in London. It's a 1970s chalet build with private driveway and parking for multiple cars for any guests.

Perfect for visitors who want to visit London but a place to stay which is away from the hectic hustle and bustle of the rest of the city.

Great transport links by bus, train (20 minutes to London Waterloo) and underground (10 minutes to Richmond Station for the District Line)

Spacious and very clean. Excellent transport links into London. Quiet location

  • 5 of 5

The house is in a quiet location with excellent transport links into London. We found the house spacious and very clean. Perfect for relaxing after a busy day sight seeing in London. The bus stop just on the main road from the house is two stops away from Twickenham station from where you can get frequent trains into Waterloo. We loved our stay.

Great house, great host, excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We looked at many properties before deciding on this house and we made a good choice. Twickenham is beautiful and the house is in a very nice neighbourhood where we always felt comfortable and safe. The house has top quality fittings and appliances, everything is in excellent shape and it is very roomy. We didn't cook too much but found the kitchen adequate, more large pans would help, we were only cooking for six. There was no line ups for the washroom, two baths upstairs and a half bath downstairs and sinks in two rooms. We didn't watch much TV but did watch the snooker matches from Sheffield and some DVD's. The house has some really great features, the bathrooms were new and clean and had extra touches like heated towel racks. A couple of the beds were hard mattresses and a couple were foam, I found the hard mattresses uncomfortable but was OK on the foam mattresses (foam pads would really help). The house was very quite at night, we were apprehensive about the proximity of Heathrow but it was a non-issue. The host responded immediately to every concern we had (iron didn't work, new iron the next day!) and offered us excellent advice about parking when we visited Kew Gardens (it is very close to the house). We shopped just a block or two away at ASDA, and even made a trip to the Tesco (about 3 blocks away). Returning to Twickenham was a relief after the bustle of the city and we found the connections were quick and easy. The walk to the train station was very short in the morning and seemed longer coming home at night (we were putting on about 15 kms of walking each day in London in spite of Travelcards and using the Hop On Hop Off busses). The train is Southwest Trains and the Twickenham station is manned. If you are looking at the National Rail 2 for 1 promotion then purchasing a 1 day Travelcard from the agent at Twickenham works everywhere. We purchased 2 Together Railcards so the discounted Travelcard price was 8 pounds for a day on all trains, busses, Overland and Underground. The 2 for 1 promo saved us a lot of money as we only paid for 3 tickets for the 6 of us. The train takes about 19 minutes and drops you off at Waterloo (The Coca Cola Eye) with good Underground connections. We enjoyed several Twickenham pubs (The Cabbage Patch and The White Swan were both enjoyed by all). We drove to Oxford, Highclere Castle and Warner Bros. from this house without any issues, the highways were excellent. We would return for sure. Thanks Vikash.

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Gegend

  • 5 of 5
