This recently remodeled direct oceanfront STUDIO is located in beautiful West Maui along the North Ka'anapali coast, 7 minutes North of Lahaina. While relaxing on your private lanai, you have incredible views of the islands of Moloka'i and Lana'i. Even though this condo is on the 1st floor, it is above ground level, so you can leave you lanai doors open and take advantage of the breezy trade winds and the musical sounds of the pacific. The breathtaking Hawaiian sunsets will be a lasting memory. Listen to the local sounds announcing the sunset every evening, by the blowing of the conch shells up and down the coast line.

The tropical grounds of Paki Maui include a tranquil koi fishpond and waterfall that greets you make your way to the condo. The ocean front side of the condo/ lanai has a grassy lawn area of about 30 feet between you and the ocean. It's just perfect for sunbathing with lounge chairs and tables to help you relax. From the lawn area there are 5 or 6 steps that lead you to protected waters - ideal for snorkeling, and swimming. During your snorkeling experience, you may see the magnificent Giant Sea Turtles, many tropical fish and colorful coral. There is a gated heated pool and Jacuzzi area surrounded by lounge chairs and beautiful Hawaiian flowers and plants. You may choose to barbecue your meals on the two gas BBQ grills in the pool/cabana area or use the charcoal ones that are located in the lawn area, ( not gated ). Enjoy your meals on your oceanfront private lanai. Many of our guests consider the newer BBQ's on the lawn area to be the "Gathering Place" where you can meet and chat with some of the other guests staying at Paki Maui. If your travels bring you to Maui from mid-December through April, you will be treated to the magical experience watching the migration of the incredible Humpback whales to the warm Maui waters. Watch these “gentle giant’s” frolic in the channel from your lanai or book a trip on a local whale watching boat where whale sightings are practically guaranteed during this time. Pods of spinner dolphins and giant green sea turtles can be seen year round. Occasionally you will see a Monk Seal that stops by for a long needed rest in the near areas.

This unit (#102 A) is a spacious Studio. What is so unique about this spacious studio is it's SIZE. It's the same square footage as the one bedroom Condo's located at Paki Maui. Your King Size comfy bed sits very close to the new sliding glass doors. The sounds of the ocean will lull you to sleep only to be awakened by lifting your head off the pillows to see the Islands of Lanai and Molokai. There is stone flooring throughout the unit and beautiful coffee green marble counter tops. The remodeled bathroom has a nice big shower with a sliding glass door. The sink/vanity area is separate from the shower area. The furniture is all outstanding and comfortable, we’re sure you’ll feel right at home. The kitchen has everything you need from a blender to a toaster and is stocked with utensils, pots and pans, dishes and glassware. Paki Maui doesn't allow air conditioners to be istalled. However, ceiling fans have been placed throughout the condo, including two in the spacious kitchen.

Million dollar view; budget friendly rate

This is the second time I've stayed at an ocean front suite at the Paki Maui. The condo is situated so close to the water that you can hear the waves crashing all night long. Sunsets from the lanai are spectacular and if you happen to be visiting during the whale season, you're likely to see a breach or two. Even though the property doesn't have a beach, there's plenty of swimming to be had. There are stairs leading down to the water and the swimming area is protected by a reef which means great snorkeling right outside your door. You are almost guaranteed to see a turtle or two at any time of the day. The condo has all the amenities you need including those needed for your beach time: a beach umbrella, beach chairs, a noodle for floating, and a cooler. It has a cozy beach style, comfy bed, and everything you need in the kitchen. You are within walking distance of a great local grocer, coffee shops, good restaurants, and are a short drive from front street Lahaina.

I would recommend this condo at Paki Maui to anyone and I can't wait to return.

Paradise on a budget!!

We had an excellent time at Paki Maui 102A. We were looking for a condo that is close to the ocean, restaurants and good beaches for snorkeling. We like west Maui for all these things but resorts in this area are very expensive! This unit fits all of those categories and comes with an unbelievable value for the location! We watched beautiful sunsets from our lanai. There was no need to go searching for sea life, we watched breaching humpback whales and sea turtles from the property every day. On two of the days we got the rare opportunity to see a Monk Seal on the beach directly in front of the condo. The beach out front isn’t the best for snorkeling but it’s only a 5 min drive to Kaanapali beach or 8 min to Kapalua Bay.

When staying anywhere there are 3 things that I look for and at the top of the list is cleanliness! This unit was very clean! I was a little worried because of a recent review posted mentioning little flying bugs. I did not see a single bug in the unit the entire time we were there. Second, is the bed comfortable? I thought the bed was a bit firm for my liking, but I have definitely slept on much worse. My husband said the bed was fine but didn’t like the pillows. Third, noise level. I hate it when you can hear every footstep or door closing from the units around you. This property and unit are sooo quiet. The walls and ceiling are thick so you never hear your neighbors when in the room. The only sound I did hear was the sound of the ocean and it was fantastic!

The only hiccup happened when trying to get into the room. Our code to the key box wasn’t working but a quick call to Bree, property manager, resolved that in about 30 seconds and the rest of the vacation was magical. We will definitely stay at this unit again!

Nice views from the condo and located close to many restaurants but had some issues inside.

I booked this condo for my husband's surprise 30th birthday trip to Maui. Upon arriving, we discovered that the condo did not have AC. We were not aware of this. We contacted the property manager right away. She was easy to get a hold of and understanding. She offered to send an additional fan to the condo. The condo does have fans but it doesn't help if there's a lot of hot air but perhaps that's part of the island, indoor/outdoor living. We kept the sliding doors open with the screen closed and some nights were cool and manageable but day time was difficult. As a result, the unit felt very dingy. The kitchen was well equipped with all necessary items which was a big help. Some parts of the unit were not thoroughly cleaned but it was manageable. The most disappointing part was turning on the kitchen fans on my husbands birthday only to find out that hundreds of little dead bugs were in those light fixtures that hadn't been cleaned out and flew all over the unit including into our suitcases. Feeling very frustrated on the very day we booked this whole trip for, I spent a good chunk of that evening writing a long, explanatory message to the property manager all while having bugs all over me and still have not received a reply. I delayed writing this review waiting to hear back. Overall, the condo is located in a beautiful area in Lahaina and the views are great. The unit has conveniences but was not entirely a pleasant experience due to the issues listed above.

Owner's Response: We do try to represent each of our condo's as much as we can under the description and also under the amenities page. We reviewed the site and under the description page there was a reference about having fans throughout the condo for cooling and having an air conditioner was not listed on the amenities page. Unfortunately, it wasn't brought to our attention about the cleanliness of the unit or that there was a problem with flying bugs during the stay. If we had known, we could have tried to do something about these issues to make the guest feel more comfortable. I can say that we haven't had an incident before with flying bugs. Upon receiving feedback from the guest, we modified the description to try and make it more clear that the condo does not have an air conditioner, spoke with our housekeeper as this was our first complaint regarding cleanliness and arranged for additional pest control.

Great location, incredible views.

The whole experience was pretty seamless, love the unit. Just nitpicking, but would have been nice if the owner would have checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable. They did check in after an extreme storm and power outage. Guess we were just spoiled from the previous owners.

Again, nitpicking, but the bed pillows were like rocks, we ended up buying our own softer ones and we never watched TV because the reception was terrible.

Overall, love the unit and location.

Great Stay

The studio was great. Very close to the water, so much so that I had to close the doors because the ocean was so loud, but I could close the doors and bring the noise down to a pleasent level. The studio was well stocked including beach chairs. The ocean was beautiful and I got to see lots of sea turtles swimming by.

We collect our payments through our real estate office NOT the VRBO site. Our office is located right across the street from Paki Maui. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express for payment. If proceeding with a booking, you will need to complete a rental agreement.

Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of a 3 night deposit, along with pertinent information on all guests. Receipt of the remaining balance in full is due 45 days prior to arrival, or 60 days prior for Holiday Season arrivals. Reservations made inside of 45 days (60 days in Holiday Season) are payable in full at the time of booking. Reservations made 5 nights or less are payable in full at the time of booking. If unable to contact or collect the final payment within 21 days of the arrival date, MBP reserves the right to cancel the reservation entirely and any monies collected with be forfeited, unless arrangements have been made in advance.

ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE IN WRITING. Cancellation outside a 45-day period prior to arrival is subject to a Cancellation Fee of $50.00, plus the 3% Credit Card Processing Fee for any monies collected. Holiday Season bookings require a cancellation outside of a 60-day period prior to arrival. Any cancellations made within the 45/60 day period will result in forfeiture of deposit or other rental funds received, and will be refunded only if the unit is able to be re-rented to another party.
