What a lovely, cosy and warm place to stay! Loved every minute of it.
I stayed in the Woody Nook house with 4 friends of mine for just one night, but we absolutely loved the experience. The warmth of the fireplace, beautiful surroundings and great location is what we loved about it.
Jo was very helpful too, waiting for us to arrive, thanks for that!
Quaint and quiet
Just spent 4 nights here and loved it. The house is just so full of character and so peaceful. Jane and Peter the owners couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Had a fantastic lunch on our first day (thank you Adam). Continental brekky included with option to purchase cooked brekkie and couldn't complain about any of it. Wonderful staff and great winery. In the words of Arnie - "I''ll be back". Thank you
Dirty shabby shack
The Margaret river wine region is truely a beautiful place at this time of the year but if you have expectations of a clean place to stay try somewhere else dusty dirty and down right disappointing Can't say anymore really
Good morning Pippa, You will know that I replied in detail to Dean's email to me yesterday and I hope covered all the points he raised. As a result of his comments our cleaning lady will be doing a thorough spring clean next Tuesday; our pest control people will be coming soon to do a complete inspection and treatment as necessary; and a new shower caddy is in place. Re. your description of the property as a 'shabby shack', although we acknowledge that it is not a new building and gets dusty very quickly and attracts bugs, we believe it has a country, cosy charm with its pole and mud brick construction (the handiwork of the original owners of Woody Nook) and many visitors tell us that they enjoy the contrast of this to their city life. Again, please accept our sincere apologies for the shortcomings you perceived on this occasion and we do hope you will give us another chance to meet your expectations in the future. Regards, Jane Bailey
A great base and friendly, helpful hosts
We loved our stay at this property. The location is perfect for exploring the Wine region and it isn't far from perfect beaches.
The house is quirky and homey. It is very comfortable and has everything you need. There were only two of us and it suited us perfectly. It would also suit a family with older children. We loved the winery setting...very beautiful!
A real bonus is being close to the winery cafe. There is breakfast provided and we also enjoyed a good lunch there on arrival.
Jenny and Peter, the owners, were very hospitable and friendly. A pleasure to deal with. We will be back to enjoy another stay soon.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this Linda. Your kind words are much appreciated. I didn't see much of you when you were here and missed your departure, so was wondering whether you had enjoyed your stay. It's great to know that you did and that we can look forward to your return visit. Best regards, Jane
