Roseneath lies 70km west of Tenterfield on the Dumaresq River. It was once the home of the Bruxner family ( hence the Bruxner Highway)
On returning home from WW1 Lt Colonel Sir Michael Bruxner ( later member of Parliament and Deputy Premier of NSW) purchased Roseneath Station, in 1917 -1952
The property was originally around 20,000 acres, which ran predominantly sheep along with Hereford Cattle, the station now is around 6,500 acres which mainly runs cattle and a small amount of sheep.
At the time Lt Colonel Bruxner also bred Clydesdale and Thoroughbred horses, the station at one time broke in large numbers of horses as remounts for the Indian Army.
The Refurbished Shearers Quarters at the top of the ridge, offers a fully self catered getaway with a choice of doing as little or as much as you like...Cast a line down in the Dumaresq River a popular fishing spot for Murray Cod and Yellowbelly complimentary kayak hire provided or explore the various walking tracks the Historic Station has to offer, 140 bird species identified on the Station, it is a bird lovers paradise.
The quarters are fully self contained with linens provided. All sheets 1000 thread sheet count
The accommodation consists of 4 bedrooms ( 2x Queen Rooms, 2 x Single Rooms)
The single rooms consists of one bedroom with 2 bunk beds plus trundle bed and the other room with 4 single beds, the Quarters has a sofa bed in the lounge room. The accommodation will sleep up to 15people and has comfortable shower and toilet facilities. BBQ also provided. Reverse cycle air conditioning and a cosy combustion fireplace in the lounge room
Tea and Coffee facilities are also provided for our guests convenience, we can supply nespresso machine with pods ( extra charge) we can also arrange to have some award wining wines from our neighbouring winery to be provided upon your arrival ( price on request) and we also supply local produce from around tenterfield region ( meats condiments ask for our guest food list)
Guests can also participate in some farm activities feeding of the cows and calves always enjoyed by all ages, we also have a little pony on the property who is great with the little members of the family.

Spend a day exploring historic Tenterfield and its various wineries and then head back to Roseneath and watch as the sun goes down and the starry night skies appear over the Battlements of the Great Divide.
