About Michele Palatas

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I moved to Alaska in 1998 to work in Deadhorse-Prudhoe Bay, in the Arctic on the Beaufort Sea. I quickly became enchanted with this beautiful place we call Alaska! If you love the outdoors, this is the place!

Michele Palatas purchased this house in 2002

Why Michele Palatas chose Fairview

I purchased this duplex in 2002 along with two more, and made four of the units, fully furnished guesthouses. You may rent both the Cottage and the Cabin (3584196) if you require more room. Since then I have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from all over the world to our city nestled between Cook Inlet and the Chugach Mountains.

What makes this house unique

The convenience of being near to downtown and midtown, the Seward Highway heading south and the Glenn Highway heading north, make this a perfect location to get out and experience Anchorage and nearby attractions.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for renting us this little cottage! Jeff and I had a wonderful time here and will be back and staying here if possible.

The extra homey touches were the icing on the cake.

This sweet little cottage was perfect for the end of our Alaska trip.

Michelle’s kind touches were evident in this rental, from providing laundry detergent to chocolates. The cottage was clean and well stocked. We were close to the airport, restaurants, tourist attractions, and grocery stores. We found the parking to be well marked and easy to find. By chance we were able to meet Michelle-she is down to earth and respects the earth. She has our respect too. If you are looking for the comforts of home, this sweet cottage is for you.

Perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

Property was clean and well stocked. Owner provided soap for dishes, shampoos, condiments, paper products, bathrobes, towels, and a nice sssortment of dishes and pots and pans. There was also plenty of storage for clothes and coats. Our cottage was also very quiet with easy access to highways and grocery stores. We would stay there again

Quaint cottage that was quiet and within driving distance of many fun things to do in Anchorage.

Michelle has thought of everything. The cottage was the perfect place to start our adventures each day and a great cozy place to come home to to unwind. Best light cancelling curtains I’ve ever had in Alaska and all the amenities one expects.

Wonderful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was very neat and had everything we could need. It is a very quiet neighborhood close to major routes and shopping centers. The washer and dryer were a great plus to have since we were traveling around Alaska. It was very nice to meet Michelle and the friendly dogs. We would love to stay again the next time to Alaska.
