Excellent property

Perfect location, fabulous views and excellent facilities. One of the nicest apartments we have stayed in. Had everything we wanted and it was so nice to walk right out onto the marina. Would definately stay again. Andy our contact was very helpful too. You could not get a more central apartment. Lots of books for reading too. Just like its pictures - perfect.

Lovely holiday

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. We were met by Andy who showed us all around the apartment and recommended good places to go and eat and places to visit. I couldn't believe the space in the apartment and it was decorated nicely - nice and light - the photos don't do the apartment the justice it deserves. I liked the fact that you felt safe in the area and needed a key to get in to the entrance, it wasn't a free for all. Back to our apartment - Air con was brilliant. The terrace was excellent, very spacious though the upstairs apartment water system for the plants needs to be sorted as quite a lot of water was coming down from their garden onto the terrace, I think someone was trying to get this fixed while we were there to be fair. Improvements - for the bathroom to be upgraded (although it still does the job) just looking a bit dated now and apartment needed dusting better, some of the crockery and cutlery was dirty (previous guests maybe not cleaning properly but this should be checked). It was a good 10 minute walk to the beach which was so lovely. The location was great - right on the marina although we didn't hear any noise it was so quiet - and at peak time. I think we might've been lucky as we heard some people say their apartments were noisy in the same building as us. As people have said previously the swimming pool is very deep at one end though we didn't find this a problem even with a toddler. The swimming pool was very clean too. We ate out every night and the food was beautiful everywhere we ate. All in all we would definitely return, thanks for a lovely stay :-)

Amazing apartment, amazing people

I have just returned form a two week stay in this apartment and i have to say it is a beautiful place. The location is first class, very quiet in the evening (no noise) yet only around the corner from all the bars and restaurants you could possibly want or need during your stay! The beach is a ten minute walk, which is completely flat and because it is around the marina you get to look at the boats on the way to it! The swimming pool area is very quiet and exceptionally well maintained, loads of sunbeds to use and parasols.

The owners and manager are so helpful and are a pleasure to deal with. We had two young children with us and they were so accomodating of our little requests that make all the difference to your holiday.

I recommend this apartment 100% and I will definately be booking again in the future.

Apartment at Vilamarina, Vilamoura

Apartment far exceeded our expectations and even with 4 people the rooms were spacious enoough to make us very comfortable. We were impressed with the large terrace which had a table that could sit six in comfort plus two loungers. Sun shone on part of the terrace all day, but there was always some shade if you wanted it, as you sat looking out over the marina. The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker and microwave. Plenty of dishes and storage made it a home from home. The bathroom was large and there was always hot water for showers. We took DVDs to play on the large TV screen in the lounge and discovered there was also a TV and DVD player in the bedroom, which was a bonus. The swimming pool was large and deep enough to dive into, but not so suited for very young children because it became deep very quickly. Our 2 teenagers loved it and we appreciated the plentiful sun loungers and the grassy area around the pool, with trees providing shade as well as parasols. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach which had beautiful sand and plenty of lifeguards. Promenading around the marina each evening was our main activity and there were plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. This is not a resort for clubbers, but was perfect for our 14-year olds, who could wander independently in the evening around the marina, feeling very safe. We will return and hire a car next time, although we got around quite successfully using buses and taxis, which were very reasonablly priced.

Vilamoura Marina Apartment

It’s not often that you see pictures of an apartment which do not show the apartment at its absolute best however in this case the pictures definitely do not do it justice.

We rented this property as we wanted an apartment at the Marina which also had car parking as we like to travel around whilst there. We have been to the Algarve on a number of occasions and I have a number of core requirements.

Must be clean. Must be at good location or have facilities to offset. Must have parking. Should be at least as good as the description which sold the rental.

This was all of the above and more. The apartment enjoys excellent views of the Marina whilst being far enough away as the noise from the bars and clubs around it do not effect you at all.

Excellent cleanliness and only minor fault was no satellite. Had a huge communal pool access (unheated) however it should be noted the pool is very deep at deep end must be at least 2.5mtrs and from about ½ way along it is over my head (I’m 5’10) gentle increase in depth for first third then goes down 1mtr in 1.5 mtrs may not suit younger children as a result.

The apartment was clean, furniture etc was fresh and all Electricals new. A new kitchen had obviously been fitted very recently June09 the AC at night was great.

I would gladly return and rent again. Wendy was excellent to deal with and her agent Andy at the resort was the same.

If you like to be based in a centre wanting loads of club life then this is not for you. However, if you are looking for a good base to enjoy walks and trips to Algarve area, with or without car, this is an excellent place to be. I generally drive so the ability to eat where you are staying, saving the need to drive to get to a decent restaurant suits me. I can have a wine or two with my meal.

Remember drink limits are lower in Portugal than (80mg in UK , 50mg in Portugal). If you drink – a no drive policy is advised so good food within walking distance all tastes catered for suited me to a tee.
