We are happy to have this 1BR apartment available in our 2 family brownstone to offer to NYC visitors here for a short stay. Enjoy the comfort of a home away from home with a fully furnished apartment with up-to-date, clutter-free, stylish furnishings. The apartment sleeps up to 4 adults on a Queen size bed with luxury Serta Beautyrest pillow-top mattress in the bedroom and queen size sleeper sofa in the living room with 5” memory foam mattress. See Amenities section for more information on what is provided in the apartment.
Maps, guidebooks and a list of our favorite NYC spots are available in the apartment but feel free to ask us for any personalized recommendations.
Why is renting our apartment different from most other short-term rentals in NYC?
1. Peace of mind - we can legally rent our apartment as a short-term vacation rental because our house is a 2-family private dwelling. Apartments in buildings that contain 3 or more apartments cannot be legally rented on a short-term basis (30 days or less) in NYC.
2. We live on the property. While the apartment is a separate unit with a private entrance, we live upstairs. If you have any questions, concerns or issues, we can address it right away and most of the time, in person.
3. We provide all of our guests with an information packet with valuable neighborhood and NYC information and can assist with any requests they may have.
4. We love to travel and know what is important to our guests. We professionally clean our apartment between guests and make sure everything possible is provided for our guests comfort.
We hope you will enjoy our city and apartment!

We are both project managers in the financial industry and moved to Harlem over 8 years ago most recently from the Upper East Side. One of us was born and raised in NYC and the other has lived in NYC for the last 20 years and we couldn't imagine living any place else! We love traveling, reading, gardening, running, skiing, tennis, good food & wine and enjoying all NYC has to offer!
Michael & Sandy purchased this apartment in 2008
We have lived here for over 8 years and this is the first neighborhood in NYC that feels like a true community to us. We are happy that the area has changed for the better and pleased that our guest have had positive experiences in their visits!
Quiet, immaculate apartment on a beautiful block of brownstones in a friendly, convenient and newly trendy neighborhood is yours to enjoy like a New Yorker. We love NYC and love to travel as “locals” ourselves which allows us to anticipate the needs of our guests to make their stay as memorable and comfortable as possible. Hablo español!
This is our third stay at this location and we would never look for another place while visiting New York. There are restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The subways are close making it convenient for site seeing, etc. Also, after a long day it is such a nice place to come home to. The owners, Mike and Sandy, always go out of their way to help with whatever you may need.

The owner was very helpful on arrival & available for any needs that would arise.
The apart, net was clean and appeared as advertised.
This apartment is in the heart of Harlem. The neighborhood is far from "charming".
Handy to subway - great eateries nearby. As described - clean and well appointed. Quiet location considering how busy the surrounding streets are. Welcome bottle of wine and fresh fruit. Supplies of staples in the cupboard - coffee, tea, sugar etc. Nearby Pioneer supermarket only 5 minutes walking distance and well stocked. 20 - 30 minutes by subway to Broadway, lower Central Park, Rockerfeller centre etc. We have every intention of returning to New York and we would definitely stay here again.
Mike and Sandy were very easy to work with in regard to the reservations s how to get around the area.Their place is nice and clean. It is only 2 blocks from the 2 and 3 subway, about 4 blocks from to other lines. We enjoyed the restaurants and shopping near by. We chose the area mainly do to the Yankee baseball stadium which was very easy to get to from the apartment. But we did travel all the way to Battery Park. We would definetly stay here again.
Our stay at Michael and Sandy's apartment was perfect!!! I am a
bit of a clean freak and the apartment was so spotless that my family walked around in bare feet which we never do when staying in rentals/hotels. The apartment had everything we needed including an amazing location. It was so easy to jump on the subway which is a 3 minute walk away. They had a beautiful bowl of fruit and a delicious bottle of wine for us when we got there. Michael and Sandy were gracious hosts and were happy to answer any questions and help in any way. Communication was top notch too! We would highly recommend this property to anyone and everyone!
It was our first time to stay in NYC... Everything about Mike & Sandy's place is PERFECT. It was soooo spacious. Near all the subways getting to anywhere you need to go. There is a living room area... kitchen... And even your own bedroom! Bathroom was impeccably clean with plenty of hot water! I dont want to get started on all the closets which are probably bigger than some of the hotel rooms in NYC. Mike was great... Always responded promptly to any questions we might have... It was absolutely beautiful. The internet was strong as was the cel reception. This is very important if you are trying to google and map out your vacation! This was the best vacation place I have stayed in. I am usually a hotel person but please... If u are up in the air about where to stay... don't look any further!!! Ask to stay here - you wont regret it! We are definitely staying here again! It literally is a home away from home... Thank you for making our vacation complete and exactly what we imagined it to be. Happy 41 Celebration to Us... Thanks again Michael & Sandy!!! :)
