Perfectly located right in the heart of City, Lands End is the ultimate large family beach vacation headquarters! Nestled right on the tip of the 2,480 acre saltwater lagoon, a few hundred yards from Pier 33, directly behind Ike's Beach Rentals, and deeded access to the white sandy beach right across the street by Lana Kai.

Lands End is the most unique property in the entire area due to the combination of truly having it all! Private Heated Pool, Hot Tub, Large Decks, Mega Dock, Outdoor Tiki Hut, Private Beach, Palm Trees, Hammocks, Firepit, Horseshoes, Boat Slip, Extra Boat Parking, Covered Fish Cleaning Station, Private Fish Bragging Board, and plenty of intimate space to just hang out!

Lands End boast over 4000 sq. ft of living space! Lands End consists of two town homes connected via privacy door, This gives you the option to have separate spaces for your multi family vacation or have the door opened and share two full kitchens, two master suites, 6 total bathrooms and 6 bedrooms! You will also find that we rent these spaces out separately as well as together! This listing is for both units.

They each have pretty similar layouts inside, are located right next to each other, are connected with a double locking privacy door, and share the amazing backyard fun zone.

Each unit currently has 3 bedrooms that all boast private balconies and sleep up to 12 comfortably. They also each have 2.5 baths, nice full kitchens, washer/dryers, big livingrooms, dining rooms with sliding glass doors to the large decks and great views! Rented together that's 6 bedrooms and an incredible amount of hangout space inside and out! The perfect Multi-Family vacation opportunity!

Incredible fishing is right out the back door. Bring your boat and keep it parked at the dock all week for great flounder, speckle trout, and redfish fishing in the saltwater lagoon. Especially fish the lagoon lighted docks at night! Or on a calm day head out the lagoon pass to the entire Gulf of Mexico and its many oil rigs within eyesight of the pass!

At the beach directly across the street we look for shells and sand dollars on our morning walks and we catch whiting, pompano, redfish and flounder for dinner while the kids play in the sand and ride the waves! We have a closet full of beach chairs, sand toys, boogey boards, umbrellas and more that your family can use to maximize fun and convenience for playing and relaxing on the beach!

Cleaning fish is a breeze at Lands End because we have a covered fish cleaning station with running water, electric and even our own fish hanging bragging board for awesome fish pics! The fishing is incredible!

If you can't tell, we are fishing enthusiasts! Just contact us for our favorite shore fishing hotspots and baits. FYI, you can catch baitfish right from the dock! Also we can get you connected to the best inshore, offshore, and even surf fishing guides! Bring your own boat of any size to explore the backwater lagoon. There is a public boat ramp on the lagoon and you can keep the boat parked right at the dock all week!

Moving on to other outdoor recreation, Ike's beach rental service is the ultimate neighbor for maximizing fun and convenience on your beach vacation! Rent some of their kayaks, paddle boards, or jet skis for some awesome family fun and adventure in the Little Lagoon! Or for even more adventure they offer parasailing, Segway tours, sand bikes and much more! They also have deluxe layout chairs with umbrellas for resting on the beach as well!!

No day is complete without a quick hike over to Pier 33 for some treats with the kids. Established in 1978, Pier 33 is Gulf Shores oldest grocery store. They are located just 3 doors down from Lands End and carry a full line of grocery items, gifts, beach accessories, souvenirs, candy, snacks, bait & tackle, milk shakes, Krispy Kreme donuts, and much more.

Our favorite Restaraunt in the entire area is Bahama Bobs! They are a small local joint nestled right on the beach and famous for great seafood poboys and burgers. It's just 1/4 mile walk and you can access from the street or the beach! For a great lunch at a tremendous value, head over to King Neptunes.

Gulf Coast Zoo is the "little zoo that could"... Our kids love visiting the zoo just 1.75 miles from Lands End! Lots of animals to interact with and feed!

The world famous Gulf Shores Hangout, Souvenir City, and Public Beach is just 3/4 of a mile from Lands End. Lots of activities going on there pretty much all summer long!

The city of Gulf Shores Bodenhamer family recreation center has an awesome pool, fitness center, gym, racquetball, game room and much more! They have a weekly family membership rate that is dynamite for active families on vacation!

We are the Herman Family from Peoria, IL- All 30 of us! We own and operate several family businesses in the Central Illinois Area. Noah Herman Sons Builders, Herman Brothers Lake and Land Management, The Giant Goose Ranch, and we host the TV show Lake Life on DIY Network. We work hard all year long and we enjoy spending as much time in Gulf Shores each fall and winter as possible! In everything we do our mission is to serve Christ by helping families spend quality time together in the great outdoors! Why Justin Herman chose Gulf Shores

Our parents parents have been coming down to Gulf Shores area each year for over 50 years, so all of us have grown up with Gulf Shores in our blood so to speak... Its super exciting to watch our kids falling in love with our annual Gulf Shores adventures as well!

One day while walking along the beach on vacation, Beth and Greg (our parents) saw a for sale sign go up at Lands End... Turns out the owner at the time wanted to sell pretty quick and mom n dad just happened to be in the right place at the right time. They went home that week owners of their very own Gulf Shores Vacation Property! Flash forward to 2016 and we purchased Lands End 1 right next door to better accommodate the entire family. We are excited about turning these vacation homes into the ultimate family vacation retreat. Every winter we will be adding some new features and improvements to the property! Come back every year to watch the transformation. We are new to VRBO, but excited about the upcoming opportunities.

The large property gives us amazing opportunity to continue to create fun spaces inside and out. Not only is our family large, but we usually travel in packs. The opportunity to all hang out together inside and out is what truly sets this property apart from the rest. It was perfect for our family!! Everyone had a great time!

Lands End 2 is a beautiful, well kept, functional home with lots of room! In the morning the early risers enjoyed their coffee out on one of the upper decks. The pool and hot tub were clean, well kept, and we probably spent as much time in the pool as we did at the beach. It was wonderful to have access to the grill for burgers, and one night we enjoyed the fire pit and roasted marshmallows. The hammocks were also used and enjoyed! We would love to return some day and highly recommend!!

Great place , lots to do, lots of fun

House was great we rented both sides, our group was very happy with the property. We had nine young adults, and seven people fifty and over the property gave everyone a comfortable space and room for group gatherings. Fire pit was a nice plus, we would rent again.

Beautiful home and perfect for multiple families!

We loved the house and it was perfect for our group of 19. The kids had so much fun fishing off the pier. The house had everything we needed and there was plenty of space for everyone. The owner was very quick to respond regarding any concerns. We would consider staying again if we ever return to Gulf Shores.

Perfect house, perfect location.

We had a baseball team at the beach for the Gulf Coast Classic 1. This house was perfect for the entire team. Location was excellent and easy to get in and out even with a bus. Pool and hot tub were excellent and boys enjoyed fishing. Could not ask for a better place for a large group. Booking was easy and quick and the owner was excellent to work with. Great all around trip for our team.

Great Property

Communication was amazing. Owners were very accommodating, ensuring everything we needed was provided. This included pack and plays, as well as sending someone to fix temperature on hot tub. Not as well maintained as I expected, and could have been cleaner. Our kids keep finding wrappers and pieces of candy from random places. Would reccommend putting outlet covers on all outlets as I cut myself unplugging charger from a outlet behind the bed. 2nd floors were tought to get cool even using the fans that were provided. Great location, loved the pool, fishing area, and outdoor eating area. Thanks for a great vacation.

Located right in the heart of the city with everything Gulf Shores has to offer right at your fingertips! Here is our typical family trip schedule:

We love to find shells and sand dollars while walking on the beach in the morning. Then we spend a couple hours playing on the beach or fishing from the beach, the lagoon west pass, in the lagoon, or at the state pier. We head back to the house for lunch and either cook up some fresh fish or grab a bite to go from Bahama Bobs or King Neptunes. We spend the afternoon at the pool just hanging out. For dinner we usually cook on the grill for half of our dinners and we hit up some of our favorite local restaurants the other nights: Lamberts Cafe, the Oyster House, Ribs and Reds, Live Bait, Desotos, Lulu's, and Pink Pony to name a few. Depending on the weather we also mix in a day or two of fishing offshore, take the kids to the zoo, hit the waterpark and mini golf places, visit Gator Alley, or swim at the Rec Center. The wives usually do a girls night out to the Tanger Outlet Center and the kids usually take a daily walk over to Pier 33 for a treat. Then we put in a fire and hangout at the firepit and pool area again before bed. Oh yeah we don't go to these places every year, but a trip to see the fighter planes in Pensacola, the battleships of Mobile Bay, and the old fortress of Fort Morgan are all worth mixing in to your trip as well! And if you love to fish, the lighted docks of the little lagoon can be fantastic fishing all night long! To finish off our trip we always hit up Souvenir City and the surrounding shops usually towards the end of our trip before heading north on Highway 59... until next year.
