Overview

About the property

Large, comfortable, and private holiday house at Paradise Beach in the Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park. The house is directly opposite the beach, close to fishing, native wildlife, walking tracks, and cycling.

The whole house is air conditioned for all round comfort in summer or winter. There are 5 large bedrooms plus a sofa bed in the lounge, so enough beds to sleep 15. Also a huge open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area to easily accommodate large numbers of guests. There is a large laundry and bathroom downstairs with an en-suite upstairs. The lounge has plenty of space to seat guests, while relaxing or watching TV, or your choice of free Foxtel channels including sport. Free wireless high speed broadband is also available. For your convenience we offer free land-line phone calls as well.

Upstairs the main bedroom is well appointed with a fantastic outlook from a huge balcony. A place to sit and relax, read a book, or daydream while the bird-life twitters beside you. The balcony is a great place to have a pleasant evening meal listening to the sounds of the sea while the sun goes down.

Outside there is plenty of space to relax by the BBQ, play sports, or just take in the serenity. There is a outdoor seating area around the BBQ ideal for whiling away your time with your friends and family. Also there is a separately fenced area for your pet dog(s) that even has it's own kennel.

At the beach you'll be amazed at the beauty and wide open spaces. The local maps show the beach location as "Wild Dog Shore". Our research uncovers this name was used by local fishermen in days long past, however some maps show Wild Dog Shore on the shores of nearby Lake Wellington.

Regardless, your pets can play and explore while you take endless strolls along the shoreline beach-combing and shell collecting. The beach changes almost daily and is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the serenity. Many guests have seen dolphins, whales and been amazed at the teaming sea birds as they follow the school fish along the shoreline. You will be amazed at how few people there are along this wonderful 90 Mile Beach. For fishermen there are some ideal spots to throw a line in and try your luck at catching flathead, whiting, salmon, snapper and more.

There are plenty of other activities available including golf at the Golden Beach Golf Club, a delightful 9 hole course that's a real experience to enjoy. There is also lawn bowls at the Golden Beach Bowls Club. For those who like cycling it is ideal with many kilometers of long flats roads to explore. Of course there are plenty of walking tracks for those who wish to adventure through the coast parks that surround Paradise Beach. A favorite place are the various wetlands where bird-life are teeming around the shallows foraging for food. There are many other places to explore including the Trinculo shipwreck just past Golden Beach toward Seaspray.

For those who wish do do some shopping Sale is a short drive past the Sale Common State Game Refuge where there is the opportunity to observe wildlife in extensive marsh and grassland areas. Sale is a lovely Victorian country town with many historic buildings, the historic Port of Sale on the Thompson River, lakes and parkland, and a great choice of street cafes to sit and have coffee or tea while taking in the scenery.

Great place ! Heaps of room and Foxtel abs internet was a treat

  • 4 of 5

Love it a lot with my missus and the dog had plenty of room to roam outside, internet and Foxtel is awesome when the fishing isn’t much chop! Easy walk to the beach and not far from the shops too! Bed was comfy and couches were nice too! Shower has nice pressure , as well as heat!

Cons- the bbq was a bit old and took a fair while to heat up, and the master bedroom could do with a good set of blinds to cancel out some morning sun if you don’t like the light ! Other then that a real ripper ! Could have a fair few people down and e joy without it being to crowded ! Will be coming back for sure ! Thanks Greg and Kate ! - wayne & Brooke and Mia
