Excellent find!
This was a beautiful quiet downstairs property which was very spacious for the two of us. It was clean, very well presented and well stocked with kitchenware and extra basic bits to make a cup of tea etc on arrival. The outside space was beautiful and calm as was the surrounding local area. The hosts were very communicative online and extremely helpful when we did get in touch. Highly recommend this property.

Leafy and private
Our stay was very enjoyable. The outlook from the rear deck is leafy and private with garden access. You are in walking distance to cafes, restaurants, the beach and Noosa National Park. The unit is clean and comfortable and our host Jean very friendly and helpful. However access to the unit via the steps is a little steep and downward sloping which might be challenging for anyone with mobility issues.

One of the best properties I have stayed at.
The owner / manager was very helpful and went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Great access to Sunshine Beach area. Bed was comfortable and all facilities worked out well. My only suggestion is to mention the steps to the unit. A slight problem for anyone with difficulties in walking.

About the host

Hosted by Jean Tulloch

Host profile image
Jean: I'm a gardener, bird watcher and nature lover, also into health and cooking. My husband Pete, an architect, designed this property as a home and office for our family, along with a granny flat for my mother, who lived with us for many years. She was a gardener too! Pete is into surfing, painting and drawing. We both love bushwalking, travel and reading.
Now that our children have left home we enjoy sharing our location with guests. Their appreciation reminds us to keep noticing what a lovely environment we live in.

Why they chose this property

We love living 5 minutes walk away from the Noosa National Park, where we do a brisk exercise circuit most days. This property is elevated enough to catch summer sea breezes so it's cooler than other parts of the town. And adjoining a local park enlarges our garden backdrop without adding to our workload! Pete likes having lots of different beaches around Noosa - that way, there's usually somewhere to catch a wave on his longboard, no matter which direction the wind blows from.
We also enjoy the stimulation of living in Noosa, which, for its size, hosts a wide range of sporting, community and cultural groups as well as many annual events.

What makes this property unique

The apartment was designed as a home, rather than a vacation property, so it's spacious and well equipped. Set a couple of streets back from the beachfront allows us and our guests to retreat from the holiday crowds into more serene, residential surroundings, while retaining an easily walkable distance to the coffee shops, cafes and restaurants of Sunshine Beach village. Exercising in the National Park means that our walks are always different - there's always something new to enjoy as the seasons change and the wildlife goes about its daily business.
