Guestbook comments from the manager

We loved staying at the flat for the facilities, great position and great support Marie provided. It was excellent for our family of four. The flat was in a fantastic position: close to the shopping district of Amsterdam, canals, Anne Franks Museum etc. Marie met us on arrival and communicated clearly and openly beforehand. Thankyou Andrew and Sharon. Perth Western Australia.

Great place to stay in Amsterdam!

We were greeted by Eline upon arrival. She was very warm and accommodating. She even helped us with our bags which was super nice after traveling all day. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen and bath are nice! The location of the condo cannot be beat; its close enough to all of the touristy sights of amsterdam but its located on a nice quiet dutch street!

Owner's Response: The apartment fitted perfectly for your lovely family. Such a joy to welcome you in Amsterdam. Just a few minutes walking distance from the Anne Frank House,; the cosy apartment is well suited for families with (teenage) kids. With boat and bike rental just around the corner to explore the old historical center. Hope to see you again one day! Eline

Great Amsterdam Location

We spent 4 nights here before Christmas 2016 (2 adults/ 2 children 11 and 13 yrs) and the apartment was perfect for our needs.

Pros: Location, easy to get to trams or just walk. Nice safe neighborhood with grocery and restaurants close by.

Clean, comfortable apartment, nice shower, and well stocked for cooking some meals if desired.

Owner, Eline is easy to work with and helpful

Cons: Stairs, it is on the 4th floor and this is known before renting. This did not bother our group, but if you have problems with stairs because of age, balance, etc. then this will not be your best choice.

Size, with 2 adults and 2 children it could get a little tight if spending long periods indoors. However, since you are likely staying on a holiday you probably will be spending most of your time out. Therefore this should not be an issue and it was not one for our group.

Owner's Response: Apartment 46 is situated 300 meters from the Anne Frank House, in a safe and cosy neighbourhood. Perfect for families with (teenage) kids. The four flights are a challenge for some, but , as described, mentioned before any booking is made. Thanks for being such lovely guests, families like yours are adding sheer joy to Amsterdam and especially the Jordan area. Eline, owner

The apartment is very open and comfortable. There were four (4) of us; each couple had a separate sleeping area. The kitchen was perfect for our needs. Grocery stores, good restaurants and shopping are all close by. We had already spent 10 days on vacation when we arrived in Amsterdam. We had some laundry - there was a service close by to help. The apartment is in a good location; close to many notable sites (Anna Frank House, The Dam, tram stops, canal boats, etc.). We enjoyed the church bells chime during the day and night. We all slept well - very quite location, but not far from where things are happening. I could have stayed another 3-4 days, I feel as though we only scratched the surface of things to see in Amsterdam. We would definitely consider staying again at Eline's apartment. As for the four (4) flights of stairs; it took our breath away the first time up, but after that it became easier for all of us. The apartment reflects Amsterdam construction and our goal was to enjoy the city as the residents do.

Owner's Response: The apartment serves two couples comfortably. Families with children also find all needs met. The apartment has no elevator, so the gym can be skipped during the stay in Amsterdam! ;-) The location is very central, yet quiet during the night. We are just off the hustle and bustle from the Prinsengracht. Everything on walking distance. Live like the Amsterdammy residents! Just climb those stairs! (my mother in law is still living on the fourth floor in a building in Amsterdam, and she is 78, no elevator, she is in fabulous shape, because of that!) ;-) Eline, owner

Excellent location and comfortable place

We stayed here from July 1st through 3rd, 2016, and really enjoyed the place. Eline was a wonderful host even though we arrived earlier than we were supposed to. She helped carrying our heaviest luggage to the apartment! The place felt very comfortable and homey, and had tons of natural light. It's near tourist attractions, but far enough from all of the hustling and bustling. It took us less than 10 minutes to walk from Eline's place to the heart of Amsterdam.

You do have to climb four flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but you need the exercise anyway after eating all of those wonderful croissants, stroopwafles, dutch pancakes, bitterballen, Dutch cheeses, Indonesian rijsttafel, and so on. There were too many good coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants to visit.

Highly recommend the place to a couple or family (or friends, single travelers) who want to be close to tourist attractions, but come back to a quiet and safe place to rest and sleep.

Owner's Response: A really quiet place, just a few minutes away from the Prinsengracht crowd, yet close enough to plunge in the Amsterdam vibes, the moment you turn around the corner of the Laurierstraat. A cosy den, with a well equipped kitchen, for home cooking. You are in fabulous shape, going up and down the four stairs to the apartment. Wonderful having you, thanks for the lavender you left. Much appreciated. Eline, Owner

Excellent apartment in a great location

A lovely place to stay - modern, bright, clean, comfortable. Well equipped with all you need for a stay in Amsterdam. We were expecting the stairs, so not a problem - in fact less steep than others we have stayed in. Located just away from the hustle of the tourist area, a real home from home. Eline is also a great host, very helpful and friendly. Many facilities nearby for food shopping, eating out, cafes and bars. Recommended.

Owner's Response: The apartment is right in the centre of the city and still offers very quiet nights. after an intense day of sightseeing, the apartment allows for a home cooked meal or a siesta. The flights are an awesome work-out! ;-) Kids normally love the challenge of climbing this 'dutch mountain'. Lovely having you as my guests, welcome back any time! Eline, Owner
