About Lauri Hines
Roy is a physician, and Lauri was in commercial real estate, so our adventure in vacation rentals started when we bought a place where we could travel with our beloved Rottweilers. We bought our first vacation rental in Julian, CA, and loved it so much we decided to open it to other dog-loving travelers who also wanted a getaway. The home was soon booked up, a movie was filmed on-site, and we loved the fact that many guests returned on a regular basis to enjoy the home we loved so much. Since then, we have stayed in many vacation rentals, with and without our dogs, and have used our stays to develop best practices to welcome our guests on their vacations. Our passion is to create amazing homes that our guests will love: An amazing location, unique and stylish decor, superb comfort, a calming ambiance, and fun for the whole group. From anniversaries to family reunions and milestone birthdays, it is our honor and privilege to help our guests with their vacation accommodations. Our homes reflect all of the happy vibes from family reunions and good times that our guests have enjoyed. We cherish all of the collective memories. The great feedback from our guests drives our passion to create the best experience possible for them. We work hard to provide a unique and special vacation rental experience for our guests, because we believe spending time and making memories with the people who are important in your life is what matters most. We love to hear from our guests who have had memorable vacations in our homes, as well as welcoming them back for repeat visits over the years. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
Lauri Hines purchased this Townhouse in 2016
Why Lauri Hines chose South Beach
This home was the personal residence of the developer who built this small waterfront development. The home is almost twice as large than the other units, with an oversized lot that can accommodate boat or RV parking. We love the luxury touches of this home; the perfectly appointed Chef's kitchen with amazing water views and quartz counters, separate climate controls for each room, heated bathroom floors, and of course the gorgeous and ever-changing views. It feels like home every time we walk through the front door. This location is amazing. The Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center, Rogue Brewery and the marina are all a short walk or bike ride in one direction, while to the other are the South Beach State Park, the Jetty, the beach and miles of hiking and equestrian trails. We think this is the perfect place to enjoy all the central coast offers in style.
What makes this Townhouse unique
Where else can you have so many uniquely wonderful attraction, both natural and man-made, in one location? You can easily stay here a week, never get in your car, and not run out of things to do. However, a short drive over the bridge is Newport proper, with the fabulous Nye Beach area. Fifteen minutes up the coast is Depoe Bay, a charming whale watching town (there is a pod of year-round whale residents) that boasts the world's smallest harbor. Lincoln City is 30 minutes to the north. To the south are the lovely towns of Waldport, Yachats and Florence. Like wildlife? Newport's beloved sea lions can be heard from the house (and occasionally swimming by) and pods of dolphins and Orcas are not uncommon. Bald eagles can also be seen here, along with osprey and other sea birds. Like to fish? Dungeness crabs and razor clams are right outside the door, and the jetty is a great fishing spot as well. There is also a free public fishing pier within a two minute walk, as well as a boat launch. There is Boat or RV parking at the home.

Always enjoy staying here.
Luxury in South Newport
We've been fortunate to have stayed several times in Lauri's beautiful place here in Newport. This is a high-end place with a view of the bridge and the channel. You really have it all here.
Great family time
The property was very nice with a lot of upgrades to the house. We enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were super comfortable. We were disappointed that there were no crab rings.
The house was warm & welcoming, and spotless clean. It was so nice walking up the stairs to see the dining table all set for dinner! Beds were comfortable, heated bathroom floors a PLUS, and location amazing. Watching fishing boats motor in/out of jetty was a wonderful backdrop. We also saw the Coast Guard make a helicopter rescue on the north jetty (your telescope has focus issues). We were unable to use the hot tub due to inclement weather. In fact, the weather was the only drawback during our stay.
This is a wonderful property. Close to beach and town. Lots of places to walk your dog. The most comfortable beds.
South Beach is the location of the top ranked attraction on the Oregon Coast, the Oregon Coast Aquarium. It is also the headquarters of Rogue Brewery and the Wine and Seafood Festival.
It is an easy walk from Yaquina Bay Club the aquarium, Rogue Brewery, the Hatfield Marine Center and the public fishing pier.
Also within immediate walking distance are the jetty, the beach, South Beach State Park (the largest park of its kind in Oregon) and miles and miles of equestrian and hiking trails.
A short drive over the historic Yaquina Bay Bridge is the hip Nye Beach neighborhood. For over 100 years, people from Portland and the Willamette Valley have been coming to Nye Beach in search of solace from the Pacific Ocean.
In times past, cottages were built where women and children would spend their summers while the men of their families joined them for the weekend excursions in the beautiful Nye Creek area. In 1891, a boardwalk was built connecting the Nye Creek to the Newport Bayfront.
The Bayfront, home to the colorful Newport fishing fleet, also boasts many fine restaurants, our beloved resident Sea Lions, shopping and attractions. It is also a working sea port.
