An enchanting property literally positioned on the edge of the escarpment in the best location in Katoomba, VIEWS into the distance across the Jamison valley. 300 meters from the 3 Sisters, The Giant Stair Case and several major bush walks.

Externally Cloud 9 is set amidst the "other worldly" landscaped gardens of the late Richard Sterling, well known Australian Astrologer and whose garden featured on Burke's Backyard in the 1980's. With magnificent Rhododendron, azaleas, tulips, daffodils, magnolia, cherry blossom, hyacinth, and blue bells depending on the season.

It is an ideal location for, couples to retreat, honeymooners, baby showers, girls getaways, romantic celebrations, writer's and artist retreat.

A Photographer's Paradise

The spectacular scenery and the gardens below are a Photographer's paradise and attract 9 variety of birds including: Yellow and white Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Red and Green King Parrots, Red and blue Crimson Rosellas, Lyre Birds, Crows, Currawong, Fairy Wrens, Red neck Wattle Bird and Butcher Birds to name a few.

Cloud Nine offers great Value with ~ 75 square meters of internal space and another 30 square meters of external deck, (that's about 4 times the size of your average motel room).

Facing north east, watch the sun rise in the morning and the rock face across the valley, change colour with magical hues of pink and light blue at sunset, all from the comfort of the lounge room with a large modular leather lounge. You'll love the panoramic views from your modern kitchen, sunroom or the huge deck.

Cool in Summer and cosy in winter, with hydronic heating in the lounge room and bedroom. Electric blankets, soft comfortable lounges and warm bedding.

Bedroom 1. A romantic four poster Queen size canopy bed with luxurious bedding.

Bedroom 2. Due to popular demand in 2018, we have made another room available which has breathtaking views to wake up to. The sun room has 2 spacious King Single ensembles that can be positioned together as one bed. Making this the perfect Couples getaway for one or two couples.

A family with two children is also most welcome, however not child friendly for playtime as the downstairs garden has many steps and is unsuitable for young children. There is however lots of space inside the apartment and fine for your weekend away.

There is excellent Wi Fi.... Free of Charge.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and cooking facilities, such as stove, coffee pod machine, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and front loading washing machine. Spacious granite bench-tops allow you space for your creative cooking.

Lilianfels is a 5 minute walk for fine dining at Darley's Restaurant.

By Car

Turn off the Great Western Highway into Katoomba town centre. Follow the main street, Katoomba St, down past the shops and down the hill towards Echo Point, to the very end. When you come to Lillianfels and Echos, turn left, then turn right into Echo Point road, at the end of which is the viewing platform for the 3 SISTERS.

Turn Left there, another 300 meters and you are at 'Cloud Nine'. on your right

By Train

Alight at Katoomba and exit on the town centre side of the train station. A taxi stand is located by the entrance to the train station. You can either:

- take a 5-minute taxi ride to 'Cloud 9', or

- catch the shuttle bus, getting off at the 3 SISTERS, and walking 3 minutes to 'Cloud Nine'.

We regret that Cloud Nine is unsuitable for pets.

NO VISITORS are permitted during your stay at cloud Nine.

"Cloud Nine' is STRICTLY NON SMOKING , please use the veranda for smoking.

Having grown up in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney I decided that I needed a change of pace - fresh mountain air and quality of life - and before I knew it, this beautiful 2 storey house and amazing property found me - It was definitely love at first sight. I love the garden and the space it offers. In spring especially, the garden is home to over 8 varieties of birds lots of butterflies a blue tongue lizard and resident Lyre birds who spend their days digging for worms. My favourite pass time is bushwalking and discovering new tracks and waterfalls in the mountains. I enjoy meeting and greeting my guests from all over the world. It brings me so much pleasure to share this "slice of heaven" as it's too wonderful to keep to myself. I came from a corporate background in Recruitment, Sales and training and am very much a people person so my new lifestyle in this beautiful community welcoming my visitors is perfect for me.

Why Dalia Isles chose Katoomba

Like I said I manifested exactly the property I had visualised months before. It had to have breathtaking views of the Jamison Valley and have a great shopping centre. For 49yrs the property was owned by the well-known Australian Astrologer Richard Sterling whose Astrology columns you may have read in the Australian Women's Weekly. When I was in Recruitment I studied Numerology to help understand the strengths and weaknesses of the applicants I was placing and Richard Sterling was definitely one of my fans in the 1980's so I knew this property had been earmarked for me. It's in the most perfect location for tourism and convenience and is the only Astrology sign posted garden of it's kind in Australia.

What makes this apartment unique

The upstairs apartment is positioned on the edge of the escarpment with a huge deck offering 180 degree breathtaking views of the Jamison Valley and Mount Solitary. In winter especially the northerly aspect means that the sun warms your body throughout the year and into the cooler months. The house is fully appointed with all the comforts of home and so close to 5 major bushwalks and 5 minutes drive to the Katoomba shopping centre. You are very welcome to take a stroll through the "Garden of the Stars" during your stay. I'm sure Richard would love you to find your star sign in the garden below, and also take in the beauty and serenity that surrounds you. The property exudes healing energy which will leave you feeling peaceful and rejuvenated. The perfect location to receive a totally unique Natural Facelift Massage treatment which weather permitting is done in the garden Gazebo or in your room. Make sure you book in advance.

Beautiful, restful place

The amazing view sets you up for a fabulous holiday. Amenities are very good with a comfortable bed, well appointed kitchen, plenty of space to spread out and relax, and very good WiFi speed. Cloud Nine is an incredibly quiet haven where you can forget about the world outside.

Soectacular views

Amazing views from the terrace of the Dardanelles Pass. Quiet location just a stones throw to the 3 sisters viewing point. A little bit further and you’re at scenic world before the crowds.

There is something magical and restorative about this place. It starts with the view from the verandah - jaw-dropping, it simply took our breath away. I must admit, we didn't sleep much during our two-night stay: we watched the sunsets, waited for the moon to rise, set the alarm for the middle of the night to see the stars, and got up early to catch the sunrises! It was incredible to just sit still and watch, and listen to silence and nature. The "Garden of the Stars" was also delightful: it zig-zagged down the hill on paved paths/stairs, and was full of gorgeous blossoms and little surprises. The apartment was as described: very spacious, clean, comfortable, with lots of seating; it had a fully-equipped kitchen and all the amenities, plus parking. We used the washing machine and drying rack (very convenient, especially after our long day hikes in the area). The location was superb - a short walk around the corner to Echo Point and the Three Sisters, and about a 10-min walk to the Lilianfels fine-dining restaurant. Dalia was a most gracious host - very welcoming, but also gave us our space. We had such a special time here that three months after our stay and half-way around the world, we're compelled to write a review!

An amazing property with a world-class view!

Cloud 9 is simply amazing. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were stunned by the incredible views from the balcony. We were met by the owner Dalia, who is just lovely, and very welcoming and warm.

The apartment itself is extremely homely and comfortable, and absolutely spotless. In fact, Dalia had just had the carpets cleaned prior to our arrival. We instantly felt at home! The big bed was super comfortable, and the apartment contained anything you would need - from all cooking wares to DVDs, books and board games. Dalia even left some chocolates and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy!

Cloud 9 is JUST around the corner from Echo Point and the Three Sisters lookout. It takes just 2 minutes to walk down there for some amazing views. We spent hours on the deck chairs at the apartment balcony however, as the private, peaceful view of the valley was too beautiful to pass up.

This was our first trip to the Blue Mountains, and we were actually heartbroken to have to leave Cloud 9. We cannot wait to come back again in the future!

Simply Perfect!

For two weeks we went to sleep and woke up with that unbelievable view and all the moods of the mountains. Makes you forget all that caused that stress. Peaceful, quiet and filled with energy made it the ideal place to unwind. Loads of space and a stunning apartment with everything you need. Beautiful garden with so much bird life. Close to all the stunning walking tracks where we spend most of our time. An ideal retreat with where you can forget about everything and reenergise! Thank you Dalia for your kindness and consideration, you're awesome! We will be back...

Five Dock

Great view but watch out for hidden charges

We stayed one night and the view was to die for. Dalia was lovely and the videos before arriving are helpful. We did however get a price from stayz, 2 adults and one child, $301 (our budget was $300).- and then when we went to pay, there was an extra $35 cleaning charge (this is before we even stayed). Despite notes all over the place saying you have to leave it spotless, put out the garbage, no dishes to be left anywhere etc. We did leave it spotless and Dalia offered to not charge for our 4 year old when we complained but I guess its annoying when the price you accept isn't the final price. The security deposit of $250 doesn't come back for a week either.

Owner's Response: Dear Anna, Let me clear any confusion here. There is a one off cleaning fee attributed to every booking and is separate to the nightly tariff. I charge a small nominal fee per stay which is far less than what I actually pay the cleaners to clean and set up a large 2 bedroom unit. This is not an extra cleaning charge as you did leave the apartment clean as stated, this is the full fee which I heavily subsidise to keep your one night stay affordable. As is common practise in holiday apartments, there is a sign posted in the kitchen to advise guests to leave the premises in the same clean manner that they were found and yes this is reiterated in the green house manual and to direct people to the location of the bins downstairs for their rubbish. There are certainly not "notes all over the place" as suggested. I did personally refund your 4yr olds fee as soon as you queried this with me as I felt that was unfair of Stayz to charge you as their system does not discern between a toddler and a 16yr old child. And lastly, It seems that you were sent your Security Deposit within 4 days of your check out as I have the email from Stayz which you also would have received. Perhaps this was all just a misunderstanding.
