Immaculate, secluded, beautiful, convenient

  • 5 of 5

We highly recommend this place!! It was absolutely immaculate, and the location was ideal for visiting Grand Canyon. The house is stocked with games and videos for the family, and our children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property. They discovered fossils and wildlife, including lizards, pronghorns, and even a porcupine!! We arrived in the late afternoon and the house was a little warm, but once we opened the windows and got a breeze flowing through it was very comfortable. The power went off once during our stay, and all my husband had to do was flip a switch in the shed and it reset. Seeing how the solar power and generator were hooked up was very interesting and inspired us to look into ways to be more self-sufficient and energy conscious--not something we expected to gain an interest in while on vacation, haha! Also, when we had to make a change with the dates we booked, Roger was very easy to work with. Definitely recommend this place and it's owner!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay "off-the-grid." The home was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed. The five of us had no problems and did not need to run the generator. Just as other reviews have stated, the pictures on VRBO did not do the home justice. The home was very clean, and directions there were clear. I would recommend this home to family and friends. We shopped at Safeway in Williams; I had a Safeway card, so the groceries were cheaper. There's no description of the stars at night! Beautiful! If we ever visit the area again, we will definitely plan on staying here.

What a beautiful getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

Truly impressed by the cabin and how gorgeous it was. Well stocked and a perfect getaway from the heat and crowds at Grand Canyon.

This cabin was the highlight of our trip and my kids played all the board games and had such a fun time.

The stars lit up in the night and we were able to spot Mars, Jupiter and Venus and the constellations.

It was like being inside a planetarium except this was the real deal. It brought me memories of my childhood when we would go up to our terrace and my dad would point out to the constellations and we would stare at it in amazement and wonder.

Well, thank you Roger and Evangeline for opening up their cabin to us and the memories of that night will stay with us for years to come.

This is a perfect getaway for anyone wanting to visit the Grand Canyon. The cabin is bigger than it appears in the pictures, and it's clean and well stocked. It's very apparent that the owner's take excellent care of this place. It was fun to hike around the property, especially since there is a mountain view. The drive to the Grand Canyon entrance was only 30 minutes north, and the drive to reasonably priced groceries in Williams was only about 30 minutes south. We couldn't have found a better place for our family to experience the Grand Canyon! We were conscious of our power consumption, but we never ran out of solar power since we followed the owner's directions about night-time usage and how to reset the system (which is simply flipping a switch). If I were you I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin right now. Your family is going to love it!

Amazing stay at an amazing location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for two nights during a road trip to the Gran Canyon National Park and we had a great time. The house is about 1/2 hour away from the south entrance of the park and it is wonderful. The living room is huge, the master bedroom and bathroom big and have lots of natural light. We loved the solar powered concept and it made us more respectful and aware of our use of lights, washer, and drier. Experience to be repeated!
