About this property

We have just completed remodeled and updated this cabin. We rented our place on VRBO/HomeAway for 10 years but took it off the market when our daughter and her husband moved back to the area. They have moved on now and we have just completed an extensive remodel/update on the property. New dishwasher, new bathroom, new furniture and had the hardwood floors refinished, plus lots more! We have added a fire pit for you enjoyment. We'll even provide the firewood! We have also added a hot tub! Very private and tucked away on it's own acre inside a small mountain neighborhood, you are still very close to Hendersonville, Brevard and Asheville, all within a 25 minute drive or less. Come enjoy the beautiful Biltmore House, or Grandfather Mountain, Chimney Rock in Lake Lure, or the many dozens of waterfalls in beautiful Transylvania County. We are surrounded by the Blue Ridge mountains and the Pisgah National Forest. Or just explore downtown Asheville, home now to almost 30 micro-breweries. Our place is the most centrally located place you can stay!

This Western North Carolina Asheville property is secluded enough to give you a peaceful vacation... yet close enough to town so you do not have to spend your whole vacation in the car.

Perfect Spring Break Getaway!

Really enjoyed this cabin for our week long spring break vacation. Mills River had plenty to do that was nice and close and we enjoyed the day at the Cabin for Easter. Cabin had everything we needed and our boys loved having yard space with trees and a creek! It was sunny and warm the first half of our stay but we realky enjoyed the wood stove and hot tub once it cooled down. Played a few of the board games on hand and really had a nice time together as a family. Would definitely visit again!

Great cabin!

We stayed for a weekend, and the cabin was clean and well-kept. The hot tub was so nice! We saw deer and the stars were bright and beautiful in this quiet area. Communication was easy with the owners. Just to know though- the road up the mountain to it is very narrow and steep.

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay here. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We loved that we felt remote but were just a few minutes from a main road. We had everything we needed. Cabin was clean. The bed was comfortable and adjustable. Overall a great experience!

Sharon and I were both born and raised in this area. We have either lived in this cabin or next door for the past 35 years. We've raised 3 kids, with two still in college. We own two businesses in the area, plus this cabin.

Why they chose this property

Relaxation is the key to any good vacation. This place has plenty of that!

What makes this property unique

Seclusion. On any given day you will have 5-10 deer walk through your front yard. The Brevard area which is 15 minutes away is home of the white squirrels and abundant waterfalls. . We have a family of white squirrels on the mountain. Be on the lookout while you are here. Wild turkey abound all over the mountain. All of this and you still can be to the grocery store or airport in less than 10 minutes...
