We stayed in the apartment from 6-20 August. It's location really is superb. Having stayed in Alcudia twice previously I Google Earthed it so knew it was in a great location. Just over the road from "The Strip" with all the restaurants, bars, shops etc but not so near that you can hear everything going on. The Hidropark is an easy 10-15 minute stroll away along the main road. In short, everything within easy reach but still nice and quiet later at night.
Overall, the apartment was great. The main bedroom, bathroom, living area and most of the kitchen were very clean and had all the crockery and utensils you would need. The spiral stairs were a bit of a challenge with 3 heavy suitcases but let's face it, you only have to drag them up there once, so it's not really a problem unless you have mobility problems or very small children.
When we arrived the shelves in the kitchen cupboards could have done with a bit of a wipe down inside and the frame of the bunkbed was a bit dirty (although the bedding was perfectly clean).
The complex itself was great with a kids club which my youngest went to most days. There was always something going on for all ages (grown ups too!) and the team wre very friendly and hardworking. Even in the height of the season, the usual sunbed war wasn't as bad as I was expecting. They don't unlock the beds until 8.30ish so no more setting your alarm in the middle of the night! We didn't eat at the complex at all, preferring to sample different restaurants locally.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay in this particular apartment again because it's location is unbeatable.
Just returned on 29/8/09 from renting the apt for 2wks. Great apt & even better location for the beach, the hotel amenities & town area for shops, restaurants & bars. However there was enough distsance so you didn't suffer the traffic or late night noise. The port area was a 30 minute walk or a 5euro taxi which provided an alternative night out & there were a few rides for the little ones & stalls selling local craft items.
The apt was I would describe as "rustic" & could probably do with a little improvment which would include the beds. Also while we never utilised the management company, they provided the clean towels & bed linen half way through the 2wk stay, but would appear thats all they did. We found we had to clean cutlery & glasses before we used them. Clean the microwave & hob of food presumabley from the previous occupants. Also there was an accumulation of dust & bugs behind units.
Don't let this put you off as the apt was ideal & provided a central, comfortable base for 2wks & we would look to rent again should we return to Alcudia.
Hi we have just returned from a 2 week stay in this apartment on the Cuidad Blanca complex. The apartment was lovely, clean and roomy. It had an amazing view of the bay, and was in a perfect location to be away from all the husstle of the nightime yet was brilliant for the day too. There are plenty of fans to cool you down. Now for a few niggly bits. The spiral stairs can be hard going. The bunk beds were ok, but the ladder was dangerous so we had a stood to climb into the top bunk. The cutlery and utensils were all rusty and mismatched, luckily we had our own opener and sharp knife. The fridge had seen better days. If you didnt keep all areas clean the ants came in. Dont be put off by my review as this apartment is great value for money!! I would recomend this apartment for family holidays. The property managment service were very helpful and provided a good service. Please dont see this as all negative as my family and i had a great holiday and would use this apartment again.
The beauty of this appartment is it's location - right on the beach front. The hotel complex that it is situated in is lovely - nice child-friendly pools, though get up early if you want a sun lounger!
The area it is situated in has numerous shops, restaurants and bars. Plus the beach has all the watersports you could wish for. The sea is great for kids - gently sloping and no big waves.
The appartment itself is clean and tidy, though we were plagued by mozzies - they seemed to be living mostly in the bunk bed room so it would be worth taking one of those plug-in repellants.
The patio area was really large and great for eating alfresco. All in all we had a fab time and I would certainly recommend it!
We have stayed in the Alcudia area before & when we found this lovely apartment we just knew that the location would be good. We didn't realise just how good until we got there. The photo's of the view just don't do it justice.
Being on the third floor (with no lift) and spiral stairs for the last two flights don't do all your shopping before getting there, otherwise it's a good workout taking cases bags etc upto the apartment.
There are two pools, one larger (and louder) plus a smaller pool with Jacuzzi set further back in the grounds that we prefered as it was quieter. You are also right by the beach so you've plenty of choice.
The hotel is 'all inclusive' so we didn't try any of their bars or restaurants, but a beach side cafe is directly outside which we used for drinks during the day when out by the pool plus the occasional breakfast.
Outside the complex there are a myriad of bars & restaurants, so really its take your pick, there really is something for everyone. Alternatively you can stroll along the promonade to Port d'Alcudia, its less than a mile & there are some Mallorca restaurants.
The Belleview area of Alcudia where the apartment is very tourist orientated, especially towards the British & the Germans so don't expect a Spanish feel, but you will have a great time,
We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this wonderful apartment. We stayed from 26th July - 9th August. This was absolutely perfect for our family. There were 2 adults (38 & 39), a 20yr old male & 17yr old male & 10 yr old female. The weather was in the 40's through the day & didnt really drop below 25 at night. The only thing I could fault with the apartment was that there was no air conditioning, however fans were provided throughout the apartment. There are 2 bedrooms (1 double & 1 containing bunk beds which is perfect for younger children). There are also 2 sofas in the lounge, which the lads used as beds. It has everything you would need, toaster, microwave, kettle, iron, fridge. The complex is lovely aswell. It has 2 swimming pools & plenty of activities going on. It is an all inclusive hotel so we tended to eat & drink out rather than using the complex eateries. We never sampled the evening entertainment which is provided though. There are quite a lot of steps to the apartment so I wouldn't say it would be suitable for anybody with walking difficulties.
The apartment overlooks the beach & has spectacular views. It is only a short walk to the main street where there are plenty of bars & restaurants to choose from . There is Pizza Hut & KFC across the road & Burger King around the corner. We found 2 really nice restaurants, Roma which is just across the road & around the corner, & a restaurant/bar called The Jolly Roger which is near the Bellevue complex down a sideroad. ( I would highly recommend both of these). Sunday dinner is beautiful in Rockerfellas (english bar), far better than mine, choice of beef or chicken (or mix of both), mash, roast potatoes, 3 veg, yorkshire pudding & lashings of Bisto gravy, only 9.50 euros :-). On the whole a fantastic holiday that we will most certainly return to. I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending this to anyone.
