A home away from home, there is a 1 bedroom cabin and a 2 bedroom cottage, which is quality accommodation at an affordable price (rates are based on SGL/Twin/DBL in the 1 BDR or SGL/TWIN/DBL/TPL or QUAD share in the 2DBR). Just 7 kms from the CBD of Brisbane, 5 kms from the Royal Brisbane Hospitals Complex (includes the Royal Women's & Royal Children's Hospital), 5 kms from the RNA Show Grounds home to the famous EKKA and 12 kms to the Airports. Easy access to the Sunshine Coast (Australia Zoo/Beaches) & Gold Coast (theme parks, beaches & shopping). Non smoking inside, but welcome to on large front deck of 1BDR & a large back deck with SPA & front verandah of 2BDR cottage & all outdoor areas.

Central yet private, secure & with several facilities minutes away

Public transport, buses practically at your door step into the CBD, close to the major shopping centre of Chermside (3 kms). Emergency Services Training Centre 1 km. Meters away from Restuarants,an aray of Take Away & Fast Food outlets, Convenience Stores & entertainment facilites. Several private & public schools minutes away. Beautiful Kedron Creek is just down the road for a brisk walk or bike ride. All these facilities and its central location makes our 1BDR & 2BDR cottages an ideal choice not only for the holiday maker but it is also suitable for re-loacations & long stay business trips.

1 BEDROOM COTTAGE - has 1 bedroom with double bed and built in wardrobes.

- Kitchenette - with fridge & microwave, stove & cooking facilities for up to 4 guests.

- Lounge Room - Reverse cycle/Split system air-conditioner, Lounge/double sofa bed, TV & DVD, adjoining the Kitchenette.

- Your own undercover deck with Bistro Dining room & outdoor setting for entertaining.

2 BEDROOM COTTAGE also has r/cycle air-con/heating - has 2 bedrooms, the main with a queen bed and it also has a walk in robe/office. The second bedroom has a double bed.

- the bathroom has a shower, vanity, washing machine & toilet.

- the kitchen has all cooking facilities for up to 6 guests, with a Fridge, Microwave, Electric stove, dishwasher, etc.

- the Lounge room has a traditional Pot Belly Fire Place (not in use), TV, DVD & 2 Sofas one of which converts to a DBL foldout bed that will accommodate a 5th and/or 6th guest.

- the Dining room has a setting for up to 4 guests.

- your own large undercover back deck with cold SPA & also a front deck/verandah. Polished floors through out the house & it has been freshly painted.

Lovely quiet property

I had to stay in Brisbane with my sick dog for treatment at the animal hospital. This cottage was just perfect. Would loved to have stayed longer. Chris the owner was so lovely and helpful. Hope to stay again sometime.

What an excellent find

I have stayed at the Cottages a number of times now and each time its been an easy process to organise with owners from interstate. Even though its close to transport and restaurants the property is surrounded by trees , excellent for rest and tranquillity. Definitely worth the stay, I'll be back.

Owner's Response: The yard does have alot of trees which is a huge bonus in summer and on overcast days can get abit dark, we do have plently of lighting inside however and on sunny days the blinds can be opened for a very bright outlook. All our guests are welcome to use the large 3.8 kw Dakin split system heating/air con unit which filters through to all areas including the bedroom. I am sorry if you thought the sofa was uncomfortable, as it is a doubles up as a sofa/bed it is not as firm as a normal sofa. Our priority is to provide good value for money to all our guests and make sure they are comfortable. We have been in operation for close to 8 years with just over 400 guests, between both properties with about one third now being repeat business. Some of our guests are families, hospital visits which was in your case, business stays, holiday makers and several pilots stay with us from 2 to 77 nights and have left reviews commenting that the cottage is cozy, comfortable, quiet, secluded, clean, tidy, central and highly recommended. I am truly sorry you felt that way, as our guests are very important to us, each and every one of them.

It's a 5 min. walk from the property to buses, shops and restaurants. A 5 to 10 min. drive to 3 major hospitals being the Royal Brisbane, Prince Charles and Northside Private Hospital. Famous EKKA show grounds 6 km. away.
