We purchased our villa after falling in love with the location, and the Greek villagers. We love staying at the villa and feel the stresses of life vanish as soon as you step off the plane at Chania. We are confident that you will be as charmed with Crete, as we are.
Lesley and Tim Fitzgerald purchased this villa in 2007
Our villa has lovely views of the Lefka Ori mountains which are covered in snow until May. The village is a typical Greek village and the locals are extremely friendly. The garden is very private. It's a great base for exploring Crete or just simply relaxing.
This villa is extremely well equipped with everything you need for a holiday. The bedrooms have air-con and fans. We never used the air-con as having the shutters open and using the fans was more than adequate.
The outdoor space is excellent with tables and chairs for everyone. Sun loungers are provided round the pool. We were in the lovely pool everyday. We always have a car and there is private parking. The owners are excellent with communication if you have any questions, I emailed and always had a response the same day.
Overall we had an excellent time and wouldn't hesitate to book again.
We had a superb holiday in this wonderful villa that easily fulfilled our every need. We are a family of four with two teenage children (14 and 18) and I can honestly say that each one of us was completely satisfied with all that the villa and the general surrounding area had to offer. We enjoyed every one of the places that we visited and none of us could choose if we had to name a favourite! Each and every one of the tavernas that we visited provided excellent food at amazing value with friendly staff and a free dessert and/or raki. The villa is exactly as described; a peaceful oasis, maintained to a very high standard with superb views which combine to give the ultimate in relaxation. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property and are hoping to return soon!
My cousin and I enjoyed this villa for a week, set in a beautiful location and just a short distance from Tavronitis itself. With stunning views over the White Mountains the villa was maintained to a very high standard - very much a home away from home. The lady who welcomed us lived next door and was really helpful and friendly showing us where things were and even how to use the washing machine!
A LOT of thought has gone into this villa... mosquito screens on the doors, nicely decorated, comfy beds and crisp linen, lots of handy tips from the owner about where to go and what to see (which were real gems of information as we only had a week and would have missed out on some spectacular sights without that local knowledge).
We ate out at some of the owners recommended restaurants and the food was superb and really reasonably priced. Such a relaxing hassle free holiday we're definitely staying at this villa again when we come back next year.
