We are delighted you are looking at our Hinkley Brook Cabin for your visit to Vermont. We trust you will find our cabin to be truly special. It was built in 2011 by us. Well, with the help of some very special friends (who are real contractors!)
The bulk of the cabin was built with logs from the land, which were milled here in Grafton. We have designed the cabin with the goal of making it a very special get-a-way. We are excited to share it with you.
Mary Ann purchased this cabin in 2011
You will find that you need to bring very little.
The bedrooms are furnished with quality linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is very simple; microwave, convection/toaster oven, electric skillet, crock pot, weber bbq, George Foreman grill, blender, coffee pot. There are terrific restaurants in the area.
You have chosen an area of Vermont that truly is beautiful and special. There is information in the cabin to help you choose your activities as well as provide you with other information to make your stay enjoyable.
The stay at the Hinkley Brook cabin was great. We were welcomed to a perfectly kept home and a very nice offering of local treats. We enjoyed listening to the brook across the street and walking through the lavender farm next door. We were in Grafton for a wedding at the Inn and the cabin was a very short walk to anywhere in town. Highly recommended for anyone looking for serene privacy, relaxation, and a taste of wilderness while in Grafton!
My boyfriend and I booked this cabin for a quick fall getaway based on the great reviews and we were thrilled with it! The cabin was cute and quaint and perfect for a romantic weekend for two. We were able to walk from the cabin into the adorable town of Grafton, hike in the nearby national park and enjoy a fire in the fire pit at the cabin. We also got to meet the hosts, Bill and Mary Ann and they were wonderful! We loved the hospitality and the gifts of wine, cheese and cookies they left for us. I would highly recommend this cabin and town and hope to visit again!
Charming and cozy. Wish there was a stove of some sort, otherwise was well equipped, clean and very private. Would recommend to family and friends.
I'll start by saying I almost never write reviews. That's just to emphasize how wonderful our experience was. We arrived to a bottle of red wine, a hunk of cheddar, apples and some of the most delicious home made cookies I've had. And then we saw they had even thought of providing cream for our morning coffee! Mary Ann and Bill have done an amazing job with this beautiful little place, the details were just magnificent and well attended to. The setting was magical and there were even a couple of chairs set up next to the creek. We had a hard time deciding where to have our coffee so we just had a few cups! I highly recommend stopping by and saying hi to Mary Ann and Bill as well, the beauty and the wonder of this amazing place is a reflection of these two wonderful people who are enjoying life to its fullest.
I was in awe of this cabin from the minute we arrived. Everything was immaculate and so well thought out. The location was amazing, so peaceful and quiet with only the sounds of the birds and the babbling brook. We enjoyed every minute of our stay there and plan to come back next year. I would HIGHLY recommend the Hinkley Brook Cabin to anyone!
This cabin was glorious. Perfectly secluded, but we could easily walk into town. Super cozy, with treats and a kind note left for us. Easy to find, we received directions well in advance and GPS took us right to the cabin. We had originally been nervous about the compost toilet - but it wasn't scary at all and quite easy to use. Would highly recommend to anyone, and we fully plan on returning.
Stayed here for two nights with my girlfriend and this cabin was absolutely perfect. We wanted a peaceful getaway at a cute little cabin in the woods; we got that and more. The interior is even better and cozier than the pictures can show and the property managers were infinitely kind, helpful and welcoming. There was a great selection of DVDs in addition to wifi. Fantastic privacy, scenery and little town a short walk away. I often rely on reviews when booking any sort of trip like this and I would 100% recommend it to anyone considering staying here! :)
Enjoy a hike through the woods out the back door or at Molly Beattie State Park a mile up the road. Wander thru art galleries, shops and museums in town; watch the blacksmith bring to life an old trade; travel just outside the village to visit the farm and see the cows; or Grafton Ponds for mountain biking in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. Then a peaceful evening on the porch or stargaze by a campfire.
