St. Stephen's Cathedral - 15 min walking (1,2 Km): St. Stephen's Cathedral (German: Stephansdom) is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Vienna and the seat of the Archbishop of Vienna, Christoph Cardinal Schönborn, OP. Its current Romanesque and Gothic form seen today, situated at the heart of Vienna, Austria in the Stephansplatz, was largely initiated by Rudolf IV and stands on the ruins of two earlier churches, the first being a parish church consecrated in 1147. As the most important religious building in Austria's capital, the cathedral has borne witness to many important events in that nation's history and has, with its multi-colored tile roof, become one of the city's most recognizable symbols.

Palace Urania reachable within 3-4 min of walking: The Palace Urania is a public educational institute and observatory in Vienna.
It was built according to the plans of Art Nouveau style architect Max Fabiani (a student of Otto Wagner) at the outlet of the Wien River and was opened during 1910 by Franz Joseph I of Austria as an educational facility with a public observatory. It was named after the Muse Urania which represents Astronomy.
During World War II, the Urania was damaged severely and the dome with the observatory was totally destroyed. After its reconstruction, it was reopened during 1957. The observatory itself has been continually improved technically over the years.
Presently the Urania also has seminar rooms in which wide-ranging classes and lectures are given, a movie theater that screens at the annual Viennale movie festival, and a puppet theater created originally by actor Hans Kraus.

Landstrasse has a quite a varied appearance, especially due to the mixture of old and new structures. For instance, both the Belvedere and the Hundertwasserhaus are located here, as are the Rochusmarkt, the shopping street Landstrasse itself, the Stadtpark, and the KustHaus. Furthermore, the 3rd is home to several embassies which makes the district into a very safe one.
St. Stephen's Cathedral - 15 min walking (1,2 Km)

Very quiet, Windows facing a courtyard.
Residential and very safe area

We have returned to Denver after an excellent trip. We want to thank you for the Radetzkystrasse apartment. The location was perfect, comfortable, clean and quiet, and your recommendations were helpful. The bed was perfect, the clothes washer worked great, and the kitchen was well stocked. We definitely will stay there again if we return to Prague.
My boyfriend had an amazing vacation in Vienna.
The apartment was beautiful and clean. Everything was spotless, and I loved the way the apartment was decorated. The windows are high and let in a lot of natural light. The bed was very comfortable and spatious, and the TV even had a couple channels that were able to be switched to English. The kitchen was fully equipped and was practically set up.
There was even a washing machine in the bathroom to do some laundry!
Another great thing about this apartment is that it is right across the street from a tram stop, thus getting anywhere is extremely easy! It is centrally located and we could get to all of our destinations easily, and quickly.
Mani, the landord, and his wife are extremely helpful and friendly! Thank you so much for having us. We had such a wonderful stay, and felt like they really went out of their way to make us comfortable.
Even though we only stayed two nights, it felt like home and we were able to relax and get a good nights rest in between sight-seeing. Since the apartment is located on the inside of the building, we were not disturbed by any loud noises.
Again, great location, great apartment, great landlord! I will be recommending this vacation rental to all of my friends. You will not be disappointed here!
Overall clean and quiet, this is quite centrally located, though, walking-wise in sub degree temperature is not advisable. Mani was responsive and this is a place where I would stay again.
This is a great property in an excellent location and a great value. Mani is a very good guy, straight shooter, no BS, and it's exactly as he presents it on this page. Mani met me there when I arrived, even changed my money for me because I was too late for the banks and got a great exchange rate. He was very easy to get hold of. The property itself is about a 10 minute walk from Schwedenplatz and there is a light train that takes you either to Landstrasse or Schwedenplatz. There are some good restaurants close by. My girlfriend and I hung out for about 10 days and went to museums during the day and restaurants by night, had a fabulous time. Don't hesistate to visit Vienna in November, the weather wasn't bad at all. If I go back, I'll rent this place from Mani again. It's a great value.
Mani's apt provided the perfect spot for me to hold up every night, just a 10 min walk from the heart of the city. The space and rooms all looked exactly as I expected. One large room both for sleeping and living, with a large bed. A kitchen with all the essentials, and a bathroom providing a clean, working, shower, sink, and toilette. Mani could not have been a better host! Prompt on every question I had, and quick to give advise for the (extremely easy) navigation between both the Aiport (via the City Airport Train - direct!) or the Hbf (O tram - direct!) Money well worth spent, and I'm so pleased with my decision.
We had a lovely time here. The apartment is large and welcoming and very clean. Mani was there to let us in and explain all the workings of our home away from home. We were centrally located, within easy walking distance to several good restaurants, grocery stores and bakery. The metro was right outside our door making for very easy access. It was a lovely stay. Thank you, Mani!
Travel Information: If you are flying to Vienna, we recommend the City Airport Train (CAT), every 1/2 hour from Vienna airport to Wien-Mitte Station. Wien-Mitte is 5-7 minutes walk away from our apartment. From Wien-Mitte you could also take Tram Nr. O get off at Radetzkyplatz.
