Beachcomber has all the comforts of city living with the relaxed atmosphere of the country. The house is positioned right on the beach with easy access through the sand dunes. Facing north it enjoys winter sun and stunning sea views. The house is surrounded by native fauna and is also home to many birds, wallabies and echidnas. There is a large deck with outdoor dining suite, perfect for lounging around, relaxing and enjoying nature at its best. The house is generously appointed with full kitchen facilities and equipment, many books, DVDs, CDs and games. Recently refurbished and air-conditioned Beachcomber is a great holiday house .
The 5km beach is sandy and a safe place for children to play and explore, also perfect for water sports and long walks. The waters are crystal clear and predominantly calm with a boat ramp for small craft at the southern end.
Amenities
The house has 3 comfortable double bedrooms, all with queen sized beds, 2 with sea views and one with ensuite. There is a bunk room that sleeps 4. All rooms have built in wardrobes. There is a games room with pool table, television, puzzles and games. The spacious family area is open plan and also enjoys excellent views of the sea. The kitchen has been completely renovated in August 2017. There is a combustion heater for cold weather, also reverse cycle airconditioning and ceiling fans in bedrooms and living area. The house faces north which captures the winter sun and is protected from most sea breezes. There is off street parking for cars and boats. There is an outdoor table and chairs for enjoying meals outside on the spacious deck overlooking the beach.
Linen is provided for guests free of charge. This includes all sheet sets, pillowslips, bath & hand towels, bath mats,face washers & tea towels.
Attractions
The area is renown for excellent fishing, snorkeling and diving. The water is crystal clear and the beach sandy and clean. The house is nestled in bushland and many native birds can be seen feeding nearby. Wallabies make their way through the bush to the beach and their tracks can be clearly seen. If you are lucky you may also notice an echidna making its way slowly along the way. There are wineries, wildlife parks, honey and eucalyptus farms that can be visited by car and Seal Bay offers the opportunity to see Sea Lions at close range with a guide. Pelicans are fed on local wharfs and penguin viewing tours are conducted most evenings in Penneshaw.
