About Kevin Soler

Here I am with Deb. Our goal is to make your stay exceptional. Also pictured is one of our boys, Smokey, a poodle/daschund mix. Nigel, our white toy poodle isn't pictured but he is always with us too. All four of us love walking around Cape May. You may see us on your visit to our fantastic home. We love the beach and the ocean and especially enjoy walking the gas lit streets in the evening. My daughters also have fond memories of the beach, zoo and time spent together in Cape May and in all the nearby seaside communities including Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Sea Isle City, Ocean City and the many towns in between. Our boys want us to make our retreat available to other well behaved boys and girls, both of their world and of ours so come, stay, relax and enjoy our home. As an FYI, Silver, our 15 year old minature poodle, passed away during the spring of 2010 and he is greatly missed. Those that knew him remember his kind spirit. He was a great treasure and he will always be remembered fondly. We rescued Smokey in March 2011 as a playmate for Nigel. At the time, Smokey was a 7 month old poodle mix and he has quickly learned where the ice cream and hot dog snacks can be found in Cape May. He and Nigel love running and playing on the beach as did Silver. We suspect your pet will too. Come stay and you will see and may God bless and enrich everyone that visits our home.

Why Kevin Soler chose Cape May

Our home was purchased to be close to the places we love. We hope you will enjoy our home and its wonderful location ideal for creating fun and fond memories. For over 30 years we have been enjoying Cape May and now share our favorite shore resort with our guests at our three Cottages.

What makes this cottage unique

We provide you and your family a wonderful cottage to relax and enjoy Cape May. The front porch furniture is ideal for a good nap or a place to enjoy the strolling Cape May visitors. More privacy is enjoyed on our covered rear porch area. Enjoy our newer vintage beach cruiser bikes for a great ride to Sunset Beach or a casual cruise around town. Head to our wonderful beach with beach chairs that we provide along with an umbrella and beach blankets. This cozy cottage is a wonderful retreat and includes central air/heat, new furniture and appliances, a washer/dryer and dishwasher with laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets provided. We also provide a starter roll of paper towels and toilet paper and a 5 burner propane grill with sear, side burner and spare propane tank so you won't run out of fuel. A rare find is our off street parking and our spacious yard.

Wonderful cottage rental

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay at this cottage in Cape May. It was clean with a great layout and the location is perfect. The included bikes, beach towels and beach equipment were an added bonus and made multiple daily trips to the beach a breeze. The owners are wonderful and always available and we have already booked our stay for next year.

Cape May Cottage Our favorite 2 weeks of the year

  • 5 of 5

Once again a perfect vacation at the cottage! Everything we need is here and all we do from the time we walk in the door and unpack is walk one block to the beach. Beach chairs, umbrella and cart provided to just fill and roll to the beach...could not be easier. Our weather was perfect and even when it storms watching the lighting and storms sitting on the wrap around porch is amazing! We cooked out food we bought from the Lobster House (either ride the bikes or a quick car ride). Harry's Restaurant which also has a liquor store and sells sundry items is awesome. You can sit on the outdoor downstairs or upstairs outdoor open bar and patio, amazing food and view. Can't wait for our second stay in September. Owner's are amazing and attentive and take great pride in their rentals that they own in Cape May, so respecting the cottage is easy and we thank them again for a wonderful stay!!! Cozy cottage and great porches

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with our stay at this cozy, clean cottage.

It had everything that was needed in the kitchen and throughout the house. It is well maintained both inside and out. We just loved the porches. They are roomy and a great place to have your morning cup of coffee or even enjoy a great book! The street is very quiet. A very peaceful area.

The owner is very gracious and provides great information regarding the Cape May area.

The Perfect Cape May Getaway

  • 5 of 5

A friend and I turned 40 this year and wanted to get away for the weekend to celebrate our milestone birthdays. We wanted to be close to all the action, and able to walk to where we needed to go since we were both coming with one small child each and their strollers.

This house is immaculately clean, and was perfect for our needs. The cleanliness was important to me, because I have a 13 month old that is crawling and gets into everything. I had absolutely no concerns letting him crawl around while we were there, after moving only a few small figures off the TV stand.

The front porch is very spacious and a lovely outdoor space. Great, sturdy, clean furniture w/comfortable cushions. We were only there for two nights, so weren't able to take advantage of everything the house offered, but both the front and back deck would be amazing places to spend time if you were going to be there for a week or more or for a shorter visit if you aren't juggling toddlers all weekend.

The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a weekend of cooking in with kids. Biking in Cape May was a wonderful way to see the town. We happened to have our own bikes with child seats, but bikes offered with the house is a GREAT perk. We walked to the promenade and into town several times over our stay and the location of the house was perfect. It took maybe 5 minutes to walk to the promenade (boardwalk next to beach) and it was maybe a 10-15 minute walk into the town. We DID hear the ocean while we were there. Beach Ave runs closest to the promenade and beach and then New Jersey Ave, where the house sits, is one block back. The neighborhood is beautiful - all of Cape May is.

One of the best things about this experience is the customer service is top notch. I contacted Kevin a few days before our arrival asking if the house happened to have a rocking chair because I suddenly realized that I rocked my son to sleep every night and we've never put him to bed anywhere other than our home, so this hadn't occurred to me until very last minute. He and his wife recalled a rocking chair in the attic of a different one of their rentals and he got it out of the attic and brought it over to the house for me. I think this example just shows the kind of customer service you'll get here. We had zero issues while we were at the house, but I just knew if anything came up, Kevin was just a phone call away.

No hesitations recommending this property highly!

Perfect home for a perfect vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our first visit to this property was extremely satisfying, so much so that we have chosen to return next year. We found it to be very clean, charming and equipped with very comfortable furnishings. The owners provided everything one would need, from food preparation to cleaning supplies. Bicycles, beach chairs and a beach umbrella were also available. It's proximity to the beach - one block away - could not be beat. One of the best features of renting this house was the ready availability and helpfulness of the owners, who were there if you needed them should a problem arise. A big plus was the fact that we could take our small dog along. We loved this home and Cape May - it was the perfect vacation.

While we were there we enjoyed shopping at Washington Square Mall, having a wonderful meal at the Lobster House, attending the moving flag ceremony at Sunset Beach at sunset, and of course, the beautiful beaches. We highly recommend this home.
