Beautiful, cozy house
Just got back from a wonderful winter weekend at Bluestone Escape with my husband, our two young children and friends who also have a toddler. We loved the house and had such a wonderful time. The decorating is absolutely beautiful but the house is still completely cozy and comfortable. There is plenty of room and so many great spots to hang out - our favorite was the adorable library. While we couldn't take advantage of the expansive outdoor decks due to lots of snow, we did discover another fabulous feature: the perfect sledding hill! Rhobin was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and even introduced us to a babysitter so we could enjoy a kid-free dinner in adorable downtown Saugerties. We would love to return during any season!
Thank you so much Samantha for the kind words!!! You were an absolute pleasure to engage with and so happy you got some adult time. =)
Billy and I LOVED the videos and pictures you sent. Being guncles, it brings a certain smile seeing kids enjoy the home.
Please come back!! We would love to have you all again.
Fun, cozy house in great location between Kingston and Saugerties
Attentive host, easy house, great location. Rhobin was a gracious host, checking in regularly, answering questions quickly, even sending someone over twice in one day to help us out! The house is cute and comfortable, with lots of seating areas--living room (big tv and great selection of games and DVDs) and den with fireplace, breakfast area and dining area, plus outside seating. Master bed has an ENORMOUS and empty closet that was a perfect nursery for us. The house was immaculately clean, with fun and happy decor; bathrooms are a bit vintage and there is carpeting in the 2 guest rooms, though all in excellent condition. Loved that we were 10 mins to Saugerties and 15 to Kingston; a bunch of other houses are visible from the property. Highly recommend the salt cave and massage at Salt and Soul Yoga nearby. Perfect cappuccino at Love Bites in town. Best greek take out EVER from Opa! in Kingston.
Beautiful property and lovely home.
Especially enjoyed the quaint library with fireplace. Thanks for having us!
The perfect place to escape
Rhobin is such a wonderful & accommodating host. The house is perfect for relaxing with friends, was immaculate & has everything you need. Everything exceeded our expectations for our Easter weekend get away.
We are already planning our next trip to stay at Bluestone escape!
Very comfortable living
Plenty of common space combined with great nooks and crannies for a quiet moment, we thoroughly enjoyed the layout and decor throughout our stay.
Cozy upstate getaway
We had the pleasure of spending a week in this cozy getaway. It was perfectly situated for what we wanted to do- relax, lounge, hike, cook and eat. The best part of the house is the plentiful seating areas to sit/lay back and relax. After breakfast, we'd start the morning sitting in the sun finishing our coffee on the deck by the pool. Once back from our excursions, we'd hang out in the living room before dinner and then retreat to the "library" room after dinner. It was chilly enough at night where we were able to enjoy the fireplace. As for activities, we frequented the local farm stands, Opus 40 and neighboring towns. New Paltz is less than 30 minutes away and we were able to get in some amazing hikes in Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska Park.
If I had to name one complaint, it's that we are spoiled city folk who like strong water pressure. That being said, it was a terrific stay and a great way to end the summer.
