Dalgarnock Cottage is nestled in the picturesque Nithsdale area of Dumfries and Galloway countryside. Where we have 6 individual holiday cottages set around a lovely private court yard which have exclusive use of the private HOT TUB, indoor heated swimming pool and sauna are available. A fee is payable for exclusive hourly use. There is a king size hand carved four poster bed sleeping 2 people. This cottage has beautiful views which can be seen through patio doors leading out from the open plan lounge/dining room onto your own raised private enclosed patio area which is ideal for BBQ's, sunset views and outdoor seating. Ideal for any special occasion, including wedding anniversaries, birthday celebrations, Christmas, new year and any other special occasions as we are open all year round. There is a hall, open plan lounge/dining room, kitchen and bathroom with bath, shower over the bath, wash hand basin and toilet.

Good accommodation in a very secluded arra

The apartment was ok with really good views, however it does state that there is a washer in the property but that is not true. Also whilst the apartment has a full bathroom, the shower had little to no pressure whilst we were staying. Finally, there were some minor maintenance issues like the bathroom door was very stiff to open, these could be resolved very easily.

Perfect break

As two city dwellers, the Dalgarnock cottage proved the tranquil break we needed. Owner’s Jacqui & Lenny go out of their way to give a warm welcome, really friendly and full of helpful advice, they obviously love the area and share local places to visit, its a family run business and shows in their commitment to please. Country views amazing, a really comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and comfy lounge with added treat of Christmas tree & deckies, the hot tub is fab too, used every day of our break , added plus is the option to book exclusive use of their leisure pool & sauna which we did it was a great way to start the day. Thornhill is lovely, pubs, cafes, take aways, shops etc its a great base to explore D&G we wil definitely return, its a gem of a place

Absolutely awesome

Everything was perfection from cottage to owners and family, also the people from other cottages were really lovely. The location was amazing the views were stunning could not fault snything about our short stay. Loved it !!

Wonderful location and great facilities

A very peaceful time . The local village was all we needed for essen and. Visit to Kirkcudbright was interesting with its museums galleries and shops.

Templand Cottages are nestled in the picturesque Nithsdale valley. Close by we have Castles, Rivers and forests. We will do our upmost to accommodate all your needs. Please ask. If we can....... we will! The cottages are almost on Drumlanrig Castles door step. About 3 to 4 miles away. The River Nith is a walk away.
