|Minimum Stay||3 - 7 nights|
The Villa is located at the peaceful gulf of Sklithri - Kanapitsa.
While being one of the most beautiful residences on the island, the property offers the unique advantage of access to a private Beach with crystal clear blue waters and golden sand. Conveniently located on the islands main road at a distance of 4 km from the town of Skiathos and the main port of the island and 6 km from the island’s airport, the villa offers both privacy and serenity away for the island’s buzz as well as easy access to all key sites. With the bus stop being effectively outside the villa’s walls, everything is just a few minutes away without the need of renting a car. The villa’s decoration is modern and of good taste and its veranda breath taking view is famous across the island. Covering 250 m2 of internal floor surface, split in two levels, the property blends perfectly with the local architecture and scenery.
The house is divided in two floors and it offers:
(5) bedrooms (1 en suite)

(2) living rooms
(2) kitchens (dish washing machine, 2 refrigerators, 2 electric kitchen)

All linen & towels are provide, maid service once a week.
Ideal for families, couples, small groups of friends who seek to get away for a while in a friendly, laid back environment and enjoy the unique island of Skiathos.
Fabulous location with wonderful view, virtually private beach easily accessible, more of a home than a holiday let. Plenty of space and good terraces for shade and sun.
I would recommend hiring a car if you have children and if you want to swim at far flung public beaches.
We've been there for 2 weeks beginning of October and can say that we've had a very nice time there.
The house is well located, close to Skiathos town (but far enough to have privacy) with a bus stop just opposite to the house and a large private area to park several cars. Well equipped also (even if a washing machine would be useful). Cleaning once a week.
You can benefit from huge terraces with on one side the sun all day long and on the other side of the house some shade.
A nice beach is available down the alley (we don't meet anyone there during our stay as the access is limited to 3 houses...).
And there is also a very large barbecue area (up to 30-50 perons I would say !!) !
In a few words a very nice place !!!
We visited Skiathos and Villa Penelope at spring time. It is an ideal house for families with children as both the house and the beach are easily accessible. The villa has huge spaces with big balconies and a breathtaking view! One of the advantages is that you can also rent a boat and keep it at the beach downstairs.
The manager and the cleaning team were both very helpful and friendly with everything we needed. They proposed us nice places and kept the property clean and well equipped! Generally the villa is well maintained and has tasteful decor. It has also huge open spaces ideal for parties. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back!
Very comfortable and well equipped villa with views to die for from the many terraces. Loads of entertaining space, well equipped kitchen and good bathrooms. Huge BBQ area for large parties. One or two things lacking, such as a washing machine, which I've told Vasilis about and he's remedying for next year. The lack of a swimming pool, which is great for families with young children, is more than compensated for by the villa having its own private beach down a few perfectly manageable steps and only shared with two other villas. Much better than fighting the crowds on all the public beaches on the island. A piece of Greek heaven to which we will return.
This is a fabulous villa for family groups or groups of friends. It is extremely spacious inside the villa and also on the various terraces at several levels outside. There is a large BBQ terrace with excellent BBQ, built in tables etc where we had 30 for dinner the night before a wedding ......we could have invited 80 people and there still would have been plenty of space! In addition, both levels of the house have large balconies with far reaching views out to the Mediterranean. There is no pool which is ideal if you have young children in the party. This is more than compensated for by the villa having its own beach down a few very manageable steps ....a real luxury when most of the other beaches on Skiathos are full of people! The house is extremely well equipped in a very comfortable and functional way and well serviced by excellent cleaning staff who will come in as required. All in all, a piece of Greek heaven!
We had a fantastic week at this property! And are returning again next year!
It is very spacious both is terms of room size and outside space. Even a large family or group is able to have their own space and privacy.
Although it does not have a pool, having a private beach (shared with 2 other villas) is fabulous! Only a couple of times were we on the beach at the same times as the people in the other villas so it was private to us. It was great to be able to go up and down from the house to the beach, unlike going to a public beach where you would have to pack a bag for the day.
The main balcony is large and beautiful to enjoy day and night.
This house has a very welcoming, homely feel to it.
The bathrooms are well designed and the kitchen has every utensil you would need to cook. It is well kept and very clean.
I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family.
The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because it does not have air conditioning (we managed ok with fans) and it does not have a washing machine. But, it's charm and character outweigh these!
For a large group, it's worth thinking about bedroom allocation before you arrive as one bedroom has a bunk bed and another one has a single bed and a bunk bed. (There are extra pull-out beds if needed).
The location is perfect as the bus stop is just outside the gate.
Achladies is down to one side and Sklithri/Kanapitsa are down the other side. They all have nice Tavernas and water taxi's to Skiathos Town.
Vasilias, Pelly, Thimios and Voula were all very helpful and friendly both in correspondence before our stay and during our stay.
I highly recommend Villa Penelope!
Villa Penelope is easy to find and access. It is located on the island's main road, at the Sklithri-Kanapitsa bay, half way between the town of Skiathos (4 km) and the world famous Koukounaries beach (6km). There is a bus stop outside the villa's wall providing access to all key locations of the island without the need of renting a car.
Skiathos has many places to eat out, ranging from simple fish tavernas to restaurants offering Tapas-Meze, Chinese and French cuisine. For those looking for a wide choice of night-life, Skiathos town has a good number of bars, and clubs with foreign and Greek music.
The island is extremely verdant and green, but it also has an abundance of fine,64 sandy beaches, which stretch all along the south facing coast, all offering fabulously clean seas, golden sand, as well as a selection of water sports. Scuba diving, horse back riding are available as is a tennis club with clay courts. Despite the fact that the island and some of its beaches can be busy in high season, it is still possible to escape from the crowds; Skiathos north coast has remained effectively untouched and numerous lovely natural beaches can be found there which are accessible only by private boat. For hikers, there are the famous Kastro ruins, and the well kept monasteries selling home made oil and spirits. For boat lovers, there is charter sailing and boat tours around the island and you can visit the Marine Park on neighboring Alonissos Island which protects monk seals and two different kinds of dolphins.
