We had a marvellous holiday in Casa Soleado and we hope to come to Alcalali again in the near future.
Thank you very much for your help and attention.
We arrived in Alcalali at a pre-arranged meeting point and were escorted up to the villa, which was a nice touch. The villa was clean and tidy on arrival with an excellent welcome pack awaiting us, very handy on a Sunday when the supermarkets shut early.
The two biggest positives for the villa were the views from the terrace, overlooking Alcalali and all the way along to Jalon, but even better was the location of the villa, just a short walk to Alcalali or to 3 or 4 very good local restaurants.
The pool is quite small but being virtual non-swimmers this wasn't a problem for us. The wi-fi is quite slow at times but this seems to be a general problem in this area and we managed.
The service from Gill from the beginning of the booking to the end of our stay was excellent and I would recommend her to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
All in all another lovely holiday in the Jalon valley.

My 5 year old grandson and i had a fanstic holiday in the villa soliado, it is well equipped, clean and came with a lovely wellcome pack which was very much appreciated, the pool is ideal and safe for children of all ages. Parking is on street with one wheel on the path or in the drive both of which i had no problem with as advised by th ecourier who took us to the villa. Will be going back for sure
Casa Soleado is conveniently situated for both Alcalali and Jalon and was very clean and tidy for our arrival. The welcome pack was excellent and very much appreciated as we arrived on Good Friday as the shops were closing.
The villa does require some care and attention however. The steps from the naya to the swimming pool are not child friendly - indeed they require extreme care at all times particularly if carrying food or drink to the outside dining area. Only two steps but they are too deep for comfort. Perhaps OK if you are 6ft tall.
The furniture on the naya is comfortable - a wonderful addition to the property.
Both the naya and the lower patio area are over-looked not by villas on either side but by a property set below on the hillside. We were greeted most days by a cheerful wave from children playing. Not particularly intrusive but not private.
The villa does not have any sun blinds or curtains - only voile. The voile is in excellent order but provides no protection from the sun - the master bedroom faces East and quickly floods with bright light and heat. We had glorious weather for Easter but very early starts to each day!
Finally, the drive way is very narrow and difficult to get a car in and out of. We had a very small car anything larger would have to be reversed in with extreme caution. The road way outside is too narrow to leave a car parked in front of the villa.
We could not get the wi-fi to work!
Lovely area and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday but would only rate the property as 3 star in its current condition.
Casa Soleado is a very comfortable and well laid out villa. It boasts beautiful views from the terrace and makes for a wonderful place to just chill. The pool although small is adequate for cooling off. There is every thing you could possibly need for cooking inside and out.
The neighbours are very friendly and there are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. A few minutes by car you will find Jalon, which is a lovely small town with shops, restaurants, supermarket and a very friendly community. We love it! It is a fabulous base to explore the many beautiful places around.
We have stayed in Gills villas many times and you will be hard pushed to find anyone else to match the beyond excellent service that she offers. Nothing is too much for Gill. Although I would recommend Casa Soleado you will enjoy any of the wonderful villas that are listed. They are all immaculate, peaceful, beautifully placed and carefully chosen to meet Gills high standards, which is why we always return and so look forward!
