A place where you really want to return

  • 5 of 5

Well worth a visit all the way from Finland!

We had a fantastic stay and communication with the owners was great from start to finish. Our little son had so many toys to play with that he said the best thing in Arran was the cottage (well, I agree).

The cottage is decorated with style. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. The kitchen is great and there's plenty of utensils to cook almost anything you can imagine.

The cottage is very well situated to travel around the island; bus stop is close to the property. There's a short walk to the beach and Brodick castle. Great location for hikers as well as many footpaths start near the place.

I warmly recommend this place for your holiday stay in Arran! We will definitely come back some day.

First time in Arran & we struck gold in this cottage. So peaceful, beautiful scenery & ideally situated for the beach, dining out, shops & attractions. The cottage itself gets 5*. Tastefully decorated to a high standard. The couch is amazing 😊? The gardens are so lovely and totally enclosed. It's just perfect 👌?.

Everything you need - PERFECT

  • 5 of 5

From the minute we booked until we left, communication with Iain and Jane was excellent, much better than I have experienced in the past. The cottage was easy to find using their directions and we fell in love with it as soon as we walked in. Very well equipped kitchen, lovely seating area, and the beds were divine. A super outside seating area too was an added bonus. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you.

Perfect Beautiful Cottage - Loved It

  • 5 of 5

Location: 5minutes drive from ferry but walkable back too shops and around too castle. Cottage is in a peaceful beautiful row of cottages. There is space for a car at front of cottage.

Cottage is extremely well maintainer too a very high standard.

Bedding and towels provided are of high quality (pillows and quilts is feather).

Rooms are very spacious and light, and located upstairs. (If you are going with young children owners have even got a stair gate).

After a long day walking it was great having a powerful shower, heated towel rail in bathroom downstairs and stepping out onto heated flooring great on the feet!

(The owner is so thoughtful there is baby bath there too use ).

The cottage has so much excellent features from free WiFi, outdoor seating and dinning area which is enclosed in back garden, bbq, washing machine, even a outside toilet. 6hob cooker, spacious fridge freezer kettle and toaster and plenty of cutlery and crockery, including plastic plates/tumblers for children.

Also included is tea bags, sugar, cleaning products, toilet roll.

The cottage is in a perfect location and very well equipped out I would highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again.

From booking the cottage to departure day the owners Jane and Iain were extremely helpful and friendly perfect hosts.

Isle of Arran, also commonly referred to as 'Scotland in Miniature' is a beautiful island of open country side and sandy beaches. It makes a great holiday destination not only to enjoy it's tranquil scenery but for the outdoor activities available; hill walking, cycling, kayaking, golfing ( on any of the Islands 7 courses ) , pony trekking, abseiling and much more; the majority of which Arran Adventure provides equipment and guidance/lessons if interested. And of course, after all the fresh sea air there is an ample amount of cafes and restaurants to satisfy your appetite; the Brodick Bar being a popular one as well the Wineport. On the rainy days, the Auchrannie Spa resort is found in the village and offers Indoor Lesuire Facilities and Pool as well as beauty treatments for a little pampering ! Other popular local attractions within walking distance of our cottage are the Heritage Museum, Brodick Castle and Gardens and the 'famous' Arran Aromatics situated at Duchess Courts.
