Barbara and Brian's review

The property was exactly as described on website, though it would be hard to really describe the fantastic view down the loch from the dining room window. We always book self catering holidays and I can honestly say this is the best accomodation we have ever stayed in, and I have to say that having Sky TV was the icing on the cake. After a full day out, we miss having Sky to relax with or when we are just looking for a day not to be rushing around and just chilling out, in fact, if we are looking for accomodation, this is a deal breaker for us. I would find it impossible to find any fault with the accomodation or the description of it on the website. The fish cafe was superb as was the Clackhaig Inn (hope this is spelt right) in Glencoe. Went to Oban and had a fantastic meal on the quay side and enjoyed seeing Stalker Castle on the road back. Location was perfect because you could go north or south and find lots of things to do.

In fact I hope that we have the opportunity to return very soon.

Once again, a truly wonderful holiday.

We were very impressed with how clean the house was and how well equipped. We would truly stuggle to find anything bad to say and we would absolutely recommend the house to any friends who would be staying in the area.

Perfect holiday cottage in Scottish Highlands

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was just as you might expect from the description: well-equipped and well-furnished, cosy (I love it when the bookcase is filled) and enough room for a family with 2 teen-kids! The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Good location to explore the beautiful scenery of Glencoe. We would happily revisit there sometime.

Immaculate property in a great location.

The house was clean, warm and very well equipped. The views across the loch from the front of the house were magical, and there are some lovely walks straight from the back door.

Callart View was a great place to stay. The view from the front of the property is brilliant and at this time of year it's lovely to be able to enjoy it from a warm and comfortable house which is exactly what you can do here. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and has everything you could need, including for example in the kitchen which is very well equipped for cooking those meals in. Would definitely recommend this place and would return!

Superb holiday home in great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week at Camus Bhan. I was so impressed with how spacious, clean and well equipped it was. It's location is one of the best in Glencoe, with stunning views down the Loch from all the front rooms. With the ever changing Scottish weather the view is ever changing too and you look forward to waking to see what it will be like! Another thing i really wanted to mention is how well the heating worked , may seem trivial, but not so when you tend to get rained on in Scotland!. For quite a large house it heated up and stayed warm.

I love to cook and wanted for nothing in the kitchen. That said we had two great meals out, one at Clachaig Inn, good pub grub but very busy and a little disorganised. The other at Loch Leven Seafood Restaurant which was an absolute treat. Excellent service, delicious food and lovely atmosphere. We kayaked for 2 days with Mark from Paddle Lochaber, highly recommended. We walked our dogs daily at another hidden gem, right from the cottage a fantastic walk through the woods and to a Lochan - superb. Lynn and Geoff work very hard to offer such a welcoming place to come back to whilst leaving you to just enjoy your holidays, you know where they are if needed. I think you can guess from this review we would love to return to stay again!
