Why David Burke chose Batheaston
The Roman city of Bath has been designated as a World Heritage Site, with many fascinating historical sites to be seen, some dating back as far as the first century. The world famous Roman baths are not one to be missed. As Well as its history, Bath has an abundance of designer shops and boutiques, with a wide and varied choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs. Bath City Centre is two miles away, with a regular bus every ten minutes.

Attractive conversion close to Bath
Nicely-presented property with a sociable open plan upstairs, which feels spacious due to vaulted ceiling, very comfortable space. 2 bedrooms/bathrooms downstairs, good shower. Heating not adequate when we arrived and took 30 mins to test radiators/boiler but once going was fine throughout stay. We stayed at No 2, which from the outside at least appears the same dimensions as the others. Parking easy once identified, and very convenient bus service into Bath a few metres from property, 10 min ride. Our only issue was the peace being disturbed on the final night by noisy neighbours at No 3 shouting and swearing for hours inside and outside property (outside of the owner's control I do realise) but this does highlight how your close proximity to your neighbours might impact on your stay if they aren't considerate. Otherwise very peaceful though, and easy walk to river Avon in Batheaston.
Quaint and comfortable cottage just outside Bath
Lovely, attractive clean cottage with original beams. An upside down house which actually worked very well. Comfortable double bed and duvet. Secure parking. Welcome pack appreciated after a 4 hour drive. Attractuve canal side walk starting just 10 minutes from the cottage into Bath took just under an hour to do or could hop on a bus for a 15 minute journey from the bus stop 50 yards from the cottage door. Would recommend.
A lovely place to explore everything the area has to offer and in place easy reach of Bath
The Malthouse is a well equipped property in a village within easy reach of Bath. We particularly enjoyed walking down the canal tow path into Bath, and taking a boat trip back to the local pub on the river. Bath is a lovely city with lots to see and do, and be sure to visit the Roman Baths.
The Malthouse is very well located to visit all the attractions in the surrounding area and is modern and well equipped:
There are a number of shops and good pubs in the village, with supermarket near by.
We would certainly recommend the property and stay again when visiting the area.
Wonderful property! Great, quiet location. Would highly recommend this cute cottage!
Nice layout with bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs and the kitchen and living space upstairs. Very cozy and charming. Nice neighborhood and easy taxi or ferry ride into the heart of town.
Spacious flat and great location as a home base
b. My fiancé and father stayed here for 3 nights just a couple miles from the heart of Bath. The location was perfect for us since we spent 2 of the 3 days sightseeing the surrounding countryside and didn’t have to deal with the heavier traffic in the heart of Bath. The 2 bathrooms were modern and spacious with plenty of hot water. The owner gave me the parking gate code and we had our own spot so we didn’t have to worry about finding parking (there’s a spot for each of the 4 units). The owner was very responsive to any of our needs; they even left a bottle of wine and crackers. The WIFI was fast and overall the place was very spacious spread out over 2 levels (bedrooms on the ground level and kitchen/living room upstairs). I would stay here again if I’m ever in Bath.
Beautiful area and perfect cottage. Faultless in every way and nice helpful owners to boot.
Cozy but spacious. Rustic exterior with new interior with all the necessary amenities. Boat or short bus ride into Bath with picturesque village and surrounding countryside. As an addendum for the Aussie traveller St Nicholas church with Australia chapel, the burial site of Governer Arthur Philip, is a 5 minute stroll away. I advise to take the guided boat into town which ends with a profound entrance into the inimitable Bath. The owners were incredibly helpful with all matters. I couldn't endorse this cottage enough and highly recommend the reader to choose this accommodation for bath.
