Uninhabitable . Damp mould problem
Major problem. Basement, where the two bedrooms are are damp and smell of mould. Humidity monitor shows 70% and 22C (the problems must be known about for there to be a monitor there) and there are no windows which open to fresh air. We tried drying out the back bedroom with the electric heater (even though it was a hot day) but it only got down to 60%. We didn’t want to sleep down with the damp mould smell so we moved a mattress upstairs and all 4 of us slept in the living room. The sofa bed was very hard, but ok once we tried putting a duvet underneath ourselves. It got light very early without proper curtains in the living room.
Other problems were minor in comparison.
In addition- bath was filthy and spewed out black muck. It took about 15 minutes to drain and about the same to fill up again.
Shower/bath temperature dial stuck on a single temperature - stiff and broken - and very hot.
Nothing to wash up with.
No phone reception on any network, but WiFi works- no good for receiving calls or text messages.
Team were nice when I phoned before arrival, but all communications I subsequently had online denied any knowledge of the communications by phone.
The basement bedrooms are not habitable.
We are sorry to hear you had issues during your stay at the property.
We had not been informed of the issue with damp before your stay. We have cleaned the walls and added a dehumidifier for the room so this will not be an issue in the future.
The sofa bed does have a mattress protector to make it softer if needed but it is a sofa bed so we cannot change the mattress attached to the bed. We have resolved the main issue for your stay and will not in an issue in the future.
