Contemporary villa, peaceful, rural area but only 1 hour from beaches. Sleeps 6

Les Lavandes near Lorgues. Recently built, spacious villa in immaculate condition, set at the end of a quiet country lane and is perfect for 'al fresco' living. Ideally situated for a relaxing holiday yet also within easy reach of beaches, mountains and sightseeing.

Quiet, peaceful and secluded but by no means isolated, the accommodation is on the ground floor and terracotta tiled throughout. The kitchen with breakfast bar opens onto the dining area and lounge, with comfy sofas, coffee table, HDTV, Blu-ray/DVD player and doors leading to the south facing terrace. There are two double bedrooms plus a third with bunkbeds, all with doors leading to the outside. The large shower room has double sinks and WC. There is a utility room with washing machine off the kitchen and also a separate WC accessed from the open hallway. We are also pleased to announce that a second bathroom is now available on the first floor with shower, bathtub, two sinks and WC.

The dining room has sliding doors leading to a large covered terrace which overlooks the garden with steps down to the large private swimming pool.

As the villa was only recently built, the garden is still maturing. The garden is planted with lavenders and cypress trees plus mulberry and olive trees, which will provide a natural shady place to sit in the heat of the day.

Please remember to bring your own pool and beach towels.

Wi-fi internet access is available free of charge. HDTV (French channels only) plus there is also a Blu-ray/DVD player and a dock suitable for ipods and iphones. The swimming pool is available between mid May to end September and has an alarm. Outside this period, the pool will be covered. Please also note that the pool is 2m deep at the deep end and becomes deep quite suddenly due to there being a step about 1/3 of the way along, so young children must be supervised at all times.

Calm and relaxing

The house is truly beautiful and well designed for sunbathing at anytime of the day. Plenty of shade as well for those very hot days. The pool was so beautiful for swimming in day or night. Whether you are a couple or a family you will not regret renting this property.

The house is exactly as description, very clean and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need and more, should you wish to prepare a full scale meal with the goodies bought at local markets. The swimming pool is probably the best we have ever had, heated to just the right temperature.

I rent the house with my family (3 kids) this summer for 10 days. All the contacts I had with the owner were very friendly and I get answer to my questions very quicky. I received a mail giving me some details and useful information on the surroundings before my arrival. This is a very beautifull house, spacious. Everything was perfect. The house was very clean. The place is very quiet and we all spent a great time there. I strongly recommend this place.

A stunning villa in Provence, Southern France

If you are in search for a relaxing holiday stay in Provence then this is the villa for you. This is a modern villa property with all the facilities you would would expect. Spacious and clean the property/ the villa offers open living and quality services including a full kitchen with full cooking facilities. The villa has a lovely aspect overlooking a large and clean pool which is private and also offering shade during those hot sunny days. The villa can easily accomodate a large family or group of adults.

The host owner was extremely helpful and accommodating who provided us with information about the local surrounds, places to sightsee, things to do and some of the local restaurants to visit ..... and from our experience yes the food was fantastic!

If your stay includes a Tuesday do not miss the local market in Lorgues? It is terrific and there is no shortage of choice for local produce/ food to purchase that you can enjoy during your stay.

I would highly recommend this villa ... We enjoyed our stay so much we hope to return when we next travel to Europe.

Fantastic Villa, Excellent Base

Really lovely villa, beautifully clean and very well presented, inside and out, very well equipped.Well thought out and practical layout overlooking super pool with shaded pool house. Garden is growing and olives on the trees.Satellite TV and wifi very useful.

Plenty of tourist info inside suggesting attractions, restaurants etc which we made use of to have some super meals and lovely trips. Chateau de Berne was seriously good!

Only 10 minutes from Lorgues, a great base for exploring Var as well as such a peaceful location for much needed relaxation by the pool with a glass of wine.

Arrangements with the owner were straightforward and professionally conducted, would definitely return for longer stay , and recommend to friends.

The hamlet of Les Mauniers is situated in an idyllic valley where very little happens. Les Lavandes sits in the middle of typical Provencal countryside surrounded by olives and vines and within a short walk of the River Argens with just a few similar properties dotted around.

The nearest shops/restaurants are at Le Thoronet (4km) but the town of Lorgues (6km) offers a wider choice with 3 supermarkets, numerous restaurants and cafes and its hugely popular weekly market on Tuesdays. The 12th century abbey at Le Thoronet is within an easy 10 minute drive and further afield are the Gorges du Verdon and the Lac de Ste Croix.

The nearest beaches are at St Raphael and St Tropez, which are within a 45/60 min drive, plus our favourite, at Cavalaire sur Mer, which is a bit further.

Within a short distance there are also several beautiful medieval hilltop villages, such as Tourtour, a wonderful cascading waterfall at Sillans La Cascade and of course, the villa is also situated in the middle of the Cotes de Provence wine route.
