Property is even better than the pictures.
It’s not often where you walk into a property & it looks better than the pictures online. It just made sense once you see the place. I was wondering why the kitchen was downstairs. You actually enter through the second floor because the house is built into a hill right off the lake. The balconies had large wonderful views of the lake. In reservation it mentioned to bring coffee pods for the Keurig. I hate keurigs so I was pleased to see there’s a regular old fashioned coffee maker there too. We bought some eggs for breakfast but forgot seasoning. So pleased to find salt and pepper after checking the cabinets. There’s a half bath downstairs which came in really handy when I had to blow dry my hair at 6AM all while everyone else was sleeping upstairs. There was so much space inside. We loved the sitting areas upstairs and downstairs. We had some bonding conversations and laughter in these rooms. The extra blankets were super cozy & came in handy while chilling on the couch. Now I’ll mention downsides. The property has a few spiders. I come from an urban area so these spiders were big. There was one spider living in the shower. My husband relocated that spider outdoors. It’s not uncommon to live on a lake and have some insects. It’s totally reasonable & I felt the downsides are so minuscule. One other con was the inside of the fridge was a little dirty. No food was left inside just crumbs and couple hairs. Overall 10 out of 10. Beautiful property!

We are a Husband and wife who have been Hillsdale County residents all our lives and were seeking an “Up North” getaway not far from home. We needed and wanted a big/little lake experience and this lake is 'just right' it's quiet, serene, beautiful, a little piece of paradise to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. Every day is absolutely delightful, beginning with the birds chirping in the morning and frogs serenading you at night. Experience all the fun, memories, and relaxing times -- boat rides on a Friday late summer evening after a long week's work; sipping your favorite drink while watching the sun melt down over the lake; or seeing the water turn pink, purple, and other beautiful colors as the sun slides down over the horizon; hearing the Canadian geese flying overhead, or watching the Great Blue Heron strike a pose while he is fishing for the latest catch. Why this property? All of those reasons, plus more!

Why they chose this property

Remote and simple getaway, yet close to so many attractions and activities.

What makes this property unique

Remote Ribeck Lake offers many unique attributes. In the peak of summer, you have swans staking their territory, and chasing geese off the pond. Catch a glimpse of the beaver as they work their new homes. In the fall the colors are breathtaking on the undeveloped waters edge, a true sanctuary. In the Winter enter a magical wonderland of silence and serenity as the snow blankets the ground and frosts the pine trees.
