Or you can stroll the beach just 300 yards to the Hanalei Colony Resort, for the only (award winning) restaurant and coffee house on this part of the island. Or just take our beach chairs and head the few steps to the beach out front!

Perfect Vacation Home in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

I can't express how much we enjoyed staying at Hale Aloha! Since the house was unavailable for the first two weeks in July, we rented a house in Hanalei. I've only stayed in Haena for the past 35 years so it was a good chance to see how we liked staying in Hanalei. The answer is, we didn't! It was crowded and very noisy with many of the surrounding houses doing construction of one kind or another. I'm not exaggerating when I say we shed all of our stress the moment we arrived in Haena and Hale Aloha. The adults rejuvenated and the kids thrived for the next two weeks in this beautiful home and idyllic setting. It was another magical stay for us!! We can't wait to return next year and stay for four weeks!

Great Time at the Beach House

  • 5 of 5

This is a truly wonderful home with 5-star location in Hanae on the breathtaking North Shore. 8 adults plus a baby (none of whom had ever been to Kauai) made this our holiday home for 10 days just before Christmas, having to say "aloha" Jan. 2. By utilizing the fully functional lanai, we had plenty of space. Needing a baby gate (to prevent a tumble down the stairs) and a high chair were no obstacles whatsoever for Beverly...they were both there awaiting us upon our arrival. Even a new-out-of-the box flat screen TV had just been installed. Satellite service enabled us to view all the football bowl games we cared to watch, and the internet connection was rock-solid. The 4 ample bedrooms in the home are most inviting, with tasteful decor throughout. The fresh-air shower was a HUGE hit with all. [There is a second one on the lanai's back deck.] At the other end of the spectrum is a whirlpool spa tub in the Master Suite on the lower level. Not that one would, but if you were to fall off the front porch (a perfect place for evening card games and happy hour), it's only a hop, skip and jump to the beach. In December, surf is up...so you hear that wonderful sound 24/7. Hanalei is only a short drive...and offers shops, dining and farmer markets. Heading the other direction, one can very conveniently arrive at a local Mediterranean restaurant/coffee house, Tunnels Beach, Limahuli Garden & Preserve, and Haena State Park at the north end of the dramatic Napali coast...a hiker's or camper's 6-star destination. Golf, snorkeling, kayaking...literally, any activity offered on Kauai...is within reach.

A truly unique property for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Such a Wonderful Plave

  • 5 of 5

My family and I all took a week and a half long trip to the beautiful North Shore of Kauai - 9 adults and a 1 year old. We all had the best of times staying in this house. From all of the details of the decor, to the fully equipped kitchen and all of the beauty that surrounded us, we could have not picked a better place. The location is great for the Na Pali Coast trailhead and any of the North Shore beaches. We traveled all around Kauai and it never really took more than an hour's drive to the South Shore area (we visited in December so waves were rough-- but Annini beach in Princeville is much calmer and not very far, great for children). Hanalei really left an impression and we can't wait to be back!

I HIGHLY recommend to anyone!

Perfect Family time at the Beach House

  • 5 of 5

My kids gave me a special gift for my 75th birthday. Six of us along with our four year old grandson ,could not have spent a better way to celebrate this event.

The house was perfect, very spacious, and nicely furnished along with all the kitchen amenities.

The beach is right across the street. We have previously stayed at the Plantation Hale condos, but this was much more comfortable.

It is very quiet and is in the most beautiful; part of the island

Six of us spent 10 glorious days at this beautiful house, with 2 more friends staying in the cottage. This was our fourth time in Kauai and all have been on the North Shore and the beautiful town of Hanalei. We love the mountains and the ocean all at the same place.

vacation of a lifetime!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a glorious 2 weeks at Hale Aloha. We are a family of 4, with 2 kids under 12, along with aunt, grandma and cousin (7 altogether). We rented the entire home plus the beach cottage so we had a lot of room to spread out. The house is beautiful, with everything we needed to be comfortable and I can't imagine a more beautiful spot! The cottage was also perfect - great little secluded place for a couple. So close to the Na pali coast and beautiful beaches as well as to cute Hanalei where we enjoyed the tuesday and saturday markets. We spent every evening in, cooking and enjoying wonderful dinners in the dining room and lanai. We enjoyed the beach in front of the house - the kids loved getting crashed by the surf - as well as the quiet "swimming beach" as we called it, 5 minutes walk down the beach. Here we spent many a day searching for shells, wading in the water and doing some spectacular snorkeling. Tunnels beach was a quick car ride (5 minutes) where the kids loved to boogie board in the surf. I highly recommend Hale Aloha and can only hope that we can come back one day for another visit.
