Well equipped recently renovated first floor apartment . One of only two apartments that make up 'Riverside House'' which has been tastefully converted from a medieval detached residence. Situated in the historic riverside quarter of the village the property is only meters from the Beautiful Dordogne river, and has easy access on foot to local restaurants, bars, and boulangeries for freshly baked bread and croissants. The apartment is fully self contained and is ideal for a family looking to take in the delights of the area. The 200 litre Balon provides lashings of hot water, and two double seater settees provide comfy relaxation next to the wood burner. The dining area has a table and four chairs, and the newly installed kitchen will suit even the most adventurous cook to try the local delicacies such as; canard, moulle, noix st jaques, and curvettes. In season pick up your locally produced vegetables, chicken, cheese and wine at the weekly farmers market held in the square outside.
Delightful Waterfront Property in Beaulieu Sur Dordogne. This recently restored medieval property in a picturesque setting on the banks of the Dordogne River is divided into 2 apartments. 'Rose' on the first floor and 'Fleurie' on the top floor (see apartment tab at top of advert) both offer comfortable accommodation for 4 people and have superb views of the Dordogne and the Chapelle. The house is situated close to many amenities which include a large variety of restaurants to satisfy those gastronomic delights. Beaulieu Sur Dordogne celebrates its famous strawberry festival each May, there is also a typical French market in the square every Monday, you will never tire of the produce this market town has to offer. For the water enthusiast canoeing and kayaking is available and a swimming pool complex with tennis courts and volleyball is located within just 5 minutes walk along the river
So much to see in and around Beaulieu Sur Dordogne which is situated in close proximity to the seven villages belonging to les plus beau villages de France (The most beautiful villages in France). Surround by medieval architecture this beautiful market town in the south of the Correze has a mild climate. It is sometimes compared to the Cote d'Azur. Its southern border location in the region makes it a popular holiday destination.
Clean bedding and towels are provided by our change over service which is included in the rental price. In addition each holiday rental at 'Riverside House' receives a welcome pack courtesy of the owners, which includes wine, fresh local bread and milk to kick start your stay!
This two bedroom apartment, located just steps away from the Dordogne River, is the perfect place to while away your holidays. Everything was exactly as described on the website. The apartment was clean and tidy and the view was stunning - the church and the river. The town of Beaulieu has coffee shops (brasseries), gift shops, a pizza takeaway, restaurants and a supermarket very close for your convenience. There is also a post office and a very helpful tourism office. We went canoeing and swimming in the Dordogne River and cycling and running in the local area. There are many tourist attractions close by and the town is simply a delight. I would recommend Beaulieu and Rose Apartment as it offers the perfect place for a vacation at any time of the year.
We stayed for 2 weeks in Rose apartment and had a fantastic time. Beaulieu is a beautiful place and has lots going on. During our stay we were lucky enough to have 3 evenings of live music on the riverbanks, fireworks and the lovely Monday nights where the whole town comes out and eats on the riverside. Markets were held just outside the apartment and in the main square. We swam and kayaked in the river and also went to the local swimming pool and a great one with slides at Argentat. Would also recommend going to Le Gouffre de Padirac - a subterranean river and cave system which is stunning - and Rocamadour, our favourite village that we visited. Highly recommended holiday!
Nous avons été un peu déçu par la location.
La literie serait vraiment à changer et la propreté de l'appartement laissait un peu à désirer...
Cela mis à part, l'appartement est très calme et bien situé dans Beaulieu.
Beautiful Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne nestles in the upper reaches of the Dordogne valley, and is close to Curemonte, Collonges-la-Rouge, Turenne, Carennac, Loubressac. Bealieu is a charming medieval town with its Romanesque Abbey, it's old and narrow streets and it's half timbered houses.
Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne is nicknamed tha 'Riviera of the Limousine' for its mild climate and profusion of palm trees, this town in the South of the Correze has an attractive historic quarter and most famously the outstanding Eglise St-Pierre, with it's south doorway dating back to 1125.
