This new contemporary air conditioned villa is in a private condominium of seven, with easy access to the Atlantic beach, lagoon side beach and village of Foz do Arelho. Situated on top of a hill with great views, it has everything you could need for a wonderful holiday in a stunning location. The wide, light filled entrance hall leads to the large, beautifully appointed dining and lounge area and to the three guest bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en suite shower room, while the family bathroom offers a good size jacuzzi bath. Two of the bedrooms have large double beds, and the third wide twin beds.
The villa is tastefully decorated in keeping with the contemporary design of the property.
Outside the villa is the private infinity pool (over 9m by 4m) with sun loungers and barbeque area, with plenty of grassed lawn for the children to play. There is a shaded car port for parking at the front of the house.
In a stunning location, this villa is the perfect place to relax and unwind
The Silver Coast is a great base for a holiday:
Places to visit:
The nearby town of Unesco World Heritage site of Obidos is a walled town close to Foz do Arelho. This beautiful 14th century walled town has its own unique charm as well as some fabulous shops selling local and traditional crafts. During July, the town hosts an incredible medieval festival, with excellent food, entertainment and atmosphere.
Not far up the coast is the beautiful circular bay of São Martinho, with huge dunes rising to the south and a small array of fishing boats on the north side of the bay.
A little further to the north is the traditional town of Nazaré, still very popular with Portuguese tourists for its town beach and cliff top views from Sitio, reached by a funicular railway.
Just an hour away is Lisbon, your probable point of arrival, but also a wonderful city to visit and enjoy. With or without children, Lisbon is an easy city to navigate and explore. Park the car and travel by tram to visit the sites and soak up the atmosphere. For shoppers, there is an array of locations offering boutique shopping, large shopping centres, or down town Lisbon. There is a great choice of restaurants and night life. For the children, there is plenty to do at Parque das Nações (Nations' Park) including a huge Oceanarium and hands on Science Museum.
Not far from Lisbon is another Unesco World Heritage site; Sintra. This increasingly popular tourist destination is dotted with royal retreats, estates, castles and buildings from the 8th-9th century, in addition to the many buildings completed between the 15th and 19th century, including the Castelo dos Mouros, the Pena National Palace and the Sintra National Palace. Sintra exudes charm and magic, with many visitors returning again and again.
Alison was very helpful with advice, directions & recommendations. We had a wonderful holiday.
The views from the villa are really beautiful.
Great beaches, nice bars on the front - great happy hour at Cais bar
Plenty to see in the area but lovely also just to chill out & watch the waves
It's a windy area on the Atlantic coast so bring cardigans & you won't be disappointed.
My husband & I stayed with our three children (5, 10 & 13) in the villa for two weeks on our first trip to the Silver Coast & couldn't recommend it highly enough. The villa itself had everything we could possible need and was immaculately clean. The kids lived in the pool, (which yes was cold, but only for the first couple of minutes) & loved having a garden to play in. We had a couple of bbqs & the kitchen had everything needed to cook but to be honest the numerous bars, cafes & restaurants around we so reasonable we ate out a lot. The area itself is stunning & everyone was so friendly. Unlike the Algarve the scenery is so green & lush with loads of flowers, really beautiful. The region isn't as developed as the Algarve but there is still loads to see and do. The beach is stunning & the lagoon meant the kids could enjoy the water safely. The villa is within walking distance of the beach & town but there is a steep hill to get up on the way home which with kids & all their bits could be a struggle but there is loads of parking on the beach front. We loved our stay, the villa & the area & would recommend it to anyone as a change from the Algarve.
This is the second time we have stayed here and have already booked for next year (sorry if you wanted first 2 weeks of August)
The management company helped is with taxis and any additional request we asked which is what you want.
The view from all sides of the villa is breath taking, we have been coming here for 9 years so understand it can get a bit windy and the pool can be cold, hey what else would you expect being by the Atlantic, didn't stop us being the pool, even at night.
Great family holiday can't wait to get there next year
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in this super villa ! None of us wanted to leave; we had such a marvellous time.
The photographs and description doesn't do it justice - it's even better. It is fabulously light, airy, comfortable and modern, with fantastic sea views from the pool and patio.
The villa was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, we had everything (and more) that we needed. We enjoyed being able to walk down to the various beach bars and restaurants……. when we could tear the kids away from the pool!
The beach was great in that it suits everyone. If waves are what you are looking for, then head for the ‘Atlantic side’ of the beach. For those looking for calmer waters / or have younger children, the lagoon side of the beach offers sheltered bathing and no waves.
Alison provided excellent customer service, both before and during the holiday. The information received before we left (directions and the instruction pack) was very thorough and informative. Whilst we were on holiday a very minor maintenance query was resolved immediately; we could not have asked for more.
All in all a fantastic villa, a lovely quiet location, with easy access to beach and restaurant, we would highly recommend.
Located above the village of Foz do Arelho, the Obidos lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, our luxury villa offers the perfect setting for exploring the Silver Coast and surrounding area. The house itself sits at the top of a hill with fabulous panoramic views down the coast and inland to Calas da Rainha. There are plenty of opportunities for relaxing on the stunning beaches of the Costa da Prata (Silver Coast), for enjoying water sports on Obidos lagoon (including kite surfing, wind surfing, kayaking, sailing, jet skiing and water skiing) or exploring the world heritage town of Obidos. There are also several excellent golf courses nearby. With Lisbon and Sintra also within easy reach, the area is great for shopping, museums, art galleries and other attractions.
The Silver Coast has always been a popular destination for the Portuguese, but in recent years, it has been increasingly popular with visitors from all over the world, who come to enjoy this friendly destination, still unspoilt and beautiful.
