About Mrs Bobbie Watchorn
We met at university and farmed together in Rutland before having the opportunity to move to Earsham. I (Bobbie) trained as an agricultural surveyor, but after the children came along I turned to my real interest art and had a successful business doing novelty cakes. Away from the self-catering, I concentrate on my sculpting, producing interpretive animal sculptures, mostly inspired by the animals around me.
Mrs Bobbie Watchorn purchased this Apartment in 1989
Why Mrs Bobbie Watchorn chose Bungay
We moved to the farm in 1989 with three small children. It had the most wonderful potential, a stunning house that sat on a hill shouting "Look at me!". However it was sadly neglected and so we started to renovate it and make it into a lovely family home, where we could welcome guests too. Simon worked hard to turn the farm round and into a highly productive mixed farm, producing the finest outdoor reared pork. We have ensured that the wealth of hedges, ponds and trees provide masses of opportunity for wildlife to live alongside us.
What makes this Apartment unique
If you want to learn about outdoor pig farming, this is the place to come. This is an ideal base for walking and cycling, with low population and plenty of tracks, quiet roads and footpaths. Unlike the flat lands of North Norfolk, the surrounding landscape consists of beautiful rolling hills. Nearby Bungay and Harleston are virtually untouched by the mass tourism of North Norfolk.
