Villa Trapezia was Lindos Destiny's first villa, starting it's portfolio of exclusive luxury villas in Rhodes. This beautiful villa therefore has a special place in our hearts. Each year, the owner takes special care to maintain it and to update its facilities providing more comfort and enjoyment for our guests. This year, the private gym has a new darts area and excercise machines. Outsite an extensive pergola with pool and sea view, providing shade for the comfortable new spacious outdoor dining area. Within this new shaded space you will find a large dining table and chairs allowing comfortable dining for all 10 guests to eat together. Next to this outside dining area, is a beautiful outdoor living room with a luxury L shaped sofa and coffee table - ideal for retreating to after lunch or dinner! A purpose built BBQ with sink is situated conveniently nearby for cooking. For the more active of you, a new mini football table has been installed in the gym and squash rackets and balls will be provided for those who wish to use the basement room for working off any extra calories! For families with small children, you will be happy to know that a small playground is being added this year. And finally a hammock in the garden offers the quintessential holiday feeling! With these new facilities having been added, Villa Trapezia is an even more desirable property for your memorable holiday in Rhodes!
This stylish, contemporary 5 bedroom Villa in Rhodes is set on the top of a plateau with fantastic views of the blue flag Afandou beach and just 5 minutes drive to the traditional Greek village of Afandou. Villa Trapezia, with its light, spacious, open plan living area, is the perfect retreat to come back to after a day on the nearby beach or exploring Rhodes Island. Four of the Villa's ensuite bedrooms are located on the first floor, and on the ground floor there is a self contained studio with its own ensuite and kitchenette. A unique feature of Villa Trapezia is its very spacious basement containing a gym and table tennis table. Outside, this wonderful Villa has a beautiful infinity pool that looks like it is dropping into the crystal blue waters of Afandou Beach. The splendid first floor balcony is an ideal spot from which to enjoy a cool drink while experiencing those spectacular Rhodes sunsets!
As well as the above facilities, Villa Trapezia also has two indoor dining areas - one informal, for those light lunches, and one formal for those special dinners. With its size and self contained bedrooms, this Villa is also ideal for small Weddings or Private Events. In order to enhance your stay with us, we will meet you when you arrive at the Villa and show you around. You will also be offered a complimentary Welcome Pack full of traditional products for you to taste. The bathrooms will contain natural shampoos and soaps for your pleasure. The surrounding area of Villa Trapezia offers many activities such as Golf at the Rhodes Golf Course which is just down the road from the Villa. Horse riding, and water sports are also available on the beach. If it is traditional Greek tavernas that you are after, Afandou square is surrounded by them, providing a great location from which to watch village life taking place. Should seafood and fish take your fancy, there are some wonderful fish tavernas on Afandou beach serving up the mornings catch. For those of you who want to explore Rhodes Island, the famous village of Lindos is just 20 minutes away and the beautiful old walled town of Rhodes is again only 20 minutes drive. The name Villa Trapezia actually means villa plateau as the Villa is, as the name suggested situated on top of the Afandou Plateau. Surrounded by tranquil nature, with pine, olive, lemon and peach trees, this is a great Villa to escape to and also a great Villa from which to explore from. Villa Trapezia offers something for everyone!
We arrived at Villa Trapezia late on Saturday to a lovely welcome from Vasilia who showed us around the villa. We were blown away by how stunning & huge it was! Her mother even bought us some food as we had arrived on an easter holiday so nothing was open to get any food. We had an amazing week there - total peace & quiet with stunning views. Perfect for families, couples, or large groups of friends. You definitely need a car/bike if you stay here but to be honest, the place is so wonderful that we didn't ever want to leave it anyway so just had bbq's! The property was clean, well looked after, & the pictures don't really do it justice. The owners respected our privacy but were always there if we had any questions & were a lovely family who couldn't do enough to help. Would highly recommend this villa & we will definitely be returning! Weather was lovely although the evenings were quite windy & when the sun went in, we ventured into Lindos & Rhodes Old Town. Also definitely worth exploring some of the smaller, less well known beaches on the island!! Anthony Quinn Bay, Tsambika, Stegna... Archangelos was also a really buzzy place at night & well worth a visit for the best souvlaki & cooked chickens! Had an amazing time & did not want to leave Villa Trapezia or Rhodes!
We had a fantastic week in July at Villa Trapezia. The house is located high up which gives you a fantastic view over the sea. The outside area is spacious with a beautiful good sized pool and we really enjoyed the evenings cooking our own dinners at the grill or in the nice kitchen. The owners are very helpful and made our stay even better.
The property was very much as described and looked just like the pictures; spacious, luxurious and with fantastic ammenities. The pool was brilliant and we had amazing views. Car hire is a must as access to the area where the villa is, is via a steep access road but worth it for such a fabulous quiet location. Well equipped kitchen which was really important to us and overall a fabulous holiday!! Would certainly recommend it.
We had a wonderful week's holiday at Villa Trapezia. Perfect for two families (4 adults, 6 kids). Vasia was extremely helpful her taverna and beach recommendations were great. House itself was spotless, great pool/view and outside dining and lounging areas. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone.
Our stay at the Villa Trapezia was exceptional. Our family of ten included 3 generations, four of which were children ages 9 to 14. The villa was as beautiful and well-maintained as the photos and descriptions provided on the web site. All the bedrooms included plenty of closet space and en-suite bathrooms for privacy. When not exploring the island, we enjoyed the large swimming pool and game room on the premises. The children loved sharing the separate studio apartment which included a kitchenette. The villa's common rooms and outdoor spaces were very large and comfortable with plenty of seating for our large brood which also occasionally included several guests who were staying at a separate villa near Lindos. The kitchen was well-stocked with all things necessary to prepare and serve any meals or snacks we wanted. The supermarket was close by and very convenient. We loved the villa's location, which was equa-distant between Rhodes town and Lindos. The owner of the property and her family were gracious and generous, accommodating our requests and answering our questions. Her recommendations concerning places to visit and eat on the island were spot-on and appreciated. The property is secure and private, while also being open to the lovely views from all areas. Some small suggestions we would make would be to: (1) include some lighting at the end of the long driveway to help when backing up the cars at night and (2) upgrade the WiFi to accommodate multiple users. Aside from these, however, we were more than satisfied with our holiday at Villa Trapezia and enthusiastically recommend the property to any one looking to book a vacation in a comfortable home-like atmosphere on a beautiful Greek island filled with interesting historic sites, lovely beaches, delicious food and warm friendly people. Thank you, Vasia, for helping us make some wonderful memories at this very special site.
Villa Trapezia is an outstanding property. Whatever time of day you arrive you have no difficulty settling in and making it home for the duration of your stay. We had a lovely personal and informative welcome topped off by an amazing homemade Greek salad, complemented with bread, wine, and chocolates. Water, milk, tea and coffee were also provided along with basic essentials. The villa is beautifully presented and extremely well equipped both inside and out. The beds are very comfortable and ensuites to every bedroom make it an ideal choice for families. The pool, although rather chilly in late October, was excellent and large enough to swim lengths. It could have benefitted from heating so late in the year, but once in and swimming it was bearable. We highly recommend this villa and will definitely return.
