This Villa is the ideal home from home for those wanting to stay in this glorious part so Spain. Sit and relax on one of the terraces with a long cool drink and settle down to watch the sunset and then the fireworks from one of the many fiestas in the area, or curl up in the lounge in front of the fire.
There is comfortable seating and dining on the Naya (covered terrace) table, chairs and sun beds on the pool terrace, with some shading.
Please note that there are steps up to the front door of the Villa and from the Villa to the Pool Terrace, the covered Naya is at a height, as is the Pool Terrace. For this reason we do not recommend our Villa for toddlers and very young children.

We decied back in 2005 that we would one day move to Spain - but wantd the 'real Spain' not a tourist town.
Having spent 10 years working outside in the Yorkshire Dales it was time to think about relocating, so in 2012 John made the move which has enabled us to continue to develop the property during the winter months and to be in Oliva to service the rentals in the summer months.
Our long term plans are to continue to create the garden and add more terraces for our guests to enyoy.
John and Maggie Male purchased this villa in 2005
When we decided that we wanted to one day move to Spain we knew that we did not want to be in 'Little Britain' but wanted to imerse ourselves in the Spanish way of life, and this region has a rich culture and the history of this area is fascinating
We enjoy glorious views to the coast and the mountains
We have easy and good access to the blue flag beaches of Oliva and Gandia,
We also enjoy the outdoors and this is an excellant area for walking, eiter independatnly or with one of the walking groups.
With being on the hill it always a little cooler than at sea level in the height of summer and we often have a gentle refreshsing breeze.
The fabulous panoramic views across the orange groves to the sea or across to the mountains, enjoyed at all times of the day and night, but especially with a glass of wine as you watch the sunset and then enjoy the fireworks from the many local fiestas.
You can do as much or as little as you want to,- relax by the pool or head to the mountains for a walk.
Casa Romero is ideally situated to explore the surrounding villages, towns and cities.
Our home is furnished to a high standard to enable you to enjoy your well deserved holiday.
John will be on hand to offer any assistance that he can to enable you to get the most enjoyment out of your holiday, from the meet and greet service to the pool cleaning and changing of linens. If he requires access to the Villa he will arrange it with you to fit in with your plans. So as not to disturb you the pool maintenance and plant care will be before 1100
I thank again John and Maggie for your hospitality and your beautiful Casa Romero. Panoramic views, stunning pool and garden. Beach beautiful.
We will be back/ Thank you
The pictures do not lie, a wonderful villa with just about everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The property was immaculate on arrival, it felt more like a luxury spa than a villa with some lovely touches by the owners Maggie and John. We met John on arrival who was the perfect host and showed us around the villa in just 15 minutes. John was on hand throughout the break for anything we needed, nothing was too much trouble. The local restaurant which was in walking distance had unfortunately closed so we had to use the car for any evening trips out. John even drove us on a couple of occasions to local restaurants, we would definitely recommend Kiko Port Restaurant by the beach for some lovely local fish dishes and a really good house white, excellent local tapas in Oliva town centre at nou cellar and any of the restaurants in Carrer Del La Mar Mediterrania near the beach at Platja Pau Pi which was lovely and uncrowded when we went in early July. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a luxury break away and a perfect place to relax and unwind. Thanks again John and Maggie.
What a treat to arrive after exhausting travel nearing one in the morning to see the owner outside to greet us. Owner John was the most professional of the Homeaway properties we have visited. We wanted a secluded two bedroom villa with a pool, but were pleasantly surprised by the well-maintained, beautifully landscaped, great views and lovely restful breezes that washed over the balcony. We could not have been more pleased. We needed R&R and that is what this home provided. The owner was top-notch and although we had some difficulties with Homeaway payment system, the owners were on top of the issue and very responsive. With the stairs it is definitely not good for wee children or very elderly, but other than that everyone would enjoy this marvelous facility. Wi-fi was excellent, too.
This is the villa on Google Earth: https://goo.gl/maps/THBbd.
The naya (verandah) is very private and provides a fine panoramic view from the North East (closest to the sea) around to the West (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2eTKDiZ05k). We can confirm there was usually a pleasant breeze in its shade on the hotter days!
The excellent pool is overlooked by the nearest villa - but that was unoccupied until the last day of our visit. There's no direct access between the pool and the naya, so from the pool you have to go up the steps to the front door of the villa. The floors are tiled throughout - so no problems with wet feet walking through the villa.
The villa and its equipment are as advertised, clean and well-maintained, and John and Maggie have produced a smartly laid-out garden around the front of the villa - they are working on the rest of the grounds, and also building a small separate apartment down the hill below the existing villa (there was no building work going-on during our stay, in June 2015).
In our brief stay we didn't dine out, but there are plenty of shopping opportunities for self-catering in the bustling town of Oliva, and we made a couple of visits to the fine beach at Rabdells.
This is a quiet villa set on a hillside, overlooking the sea in the distance, and inland to the mountains. We couldnt have asked for a better place to spend a weeks holiday. The facilities are excellant and John was amazing. This is Oliva's best kept secret and so it would come highly recommended to anyone thinking about a holiday here.
If you're looking for a get away in a nice quiet location you are at the right place. Maggie and John provide a very cosy spacious villa in a nice area high up above the sea level. The views from the villa are astonishing and advised not to be ignored. The view stretches out above the town, mountains, and reaches the horizon where sunrises and sunsets can be observed. Villa offers 2 bedrooms. Two bathrooms a spacious kitchen, living room, a balcony and the most important a big area outside with the swimming pool. This is a brilliant option for anyone who struggles to enjoy their holiday in a small hotel room because this villa makes you feel like you're at home. I would advice to come experience your visit in Spain and definitely come stay at this villa. The only problem is you might encounter is this is not a location for crazy nights out and clubbing it's far away from the noise and crowds of tourists
The villa is wonderful, calm, quiet with great views. More important is that John takes very good care ...he went out of his way to shop for some bread, eggs, milk etc since we arrived late on a Sunday. Few owners do that. My kids enjoyed the pool everyday!
The Orange Blossom Coast is relatively unspoilt by tourism and boasts 3000 hours of sunshine a year.
