For a single person or 2 people this one bedroomed apartment is ideal in a private gated block converted only 5 years ago. In the courtyard is a cycle store, gated refuse storage, courtyard with SW aspect. The apartment is compact, light and airy with high ceilings and 3 tall windows. The solid wood front door opens into the living area and with separate fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.

The apartment is secure, modern and tastefully furnished with oak floors. It is fully equipped. The greatest advantage is it's Central Location location. Literally almost every major London attraction is accessible by walking as well as being on the train, tube or bus routes the stops for which are 2 minutes walk away from the flat.
Take a look at the map..you can't better this location which is why we bought it for our own use. We are happy that our guests will enjoy all the same advantages.
A stunningly central location in EC1, Sweeps apartment is the perfect base for the historic and cultural sights, the theaters and restaurants and the shopping areas.
The apartment is near Fleet street, St Pauls, The Gherkin and Shard, Liverpool Street and the financial districts, the City, The legal district, Greys Inn and Temple, and it is possible to walk south to the embankment in 10 minutes.
Chancery lane tube station is 5 minutes on Holborn and this is on Central line taking you to oxford Street, Covent garden, Leicester Square and Marble Arch. Farringdon station is also 10 minutes away and is on Thameslink and Hammersmith and City, Circle and Bakerloo lines.
Bus stops for routes to every location in London are st the end of Leather Lane 5 minutes away. It is possible to reach the West End, Mayfair, Covent garden, City district, the Olympic site, South Bank, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, Theater and entertainment areas very easily with regular tube, train and bus routes on your doorstep. River routes are also easily accessible taking you to Hampton Court and Greenwich.
Sweeps is in a gated site built by Dewent developers in 2006 to a high standard. It is secure and has a contained tree lined courtyard with up lighting on the trees. The cycle store is available. The access to the main building is enclosed and secure. The access to the apartments is also secure on a top floor corridor. The lift operates from the front ground floor access directly to the apartment.
Parking on Leather Lane is possible at weekend and there are several National Car Parks in the vicinity.
The area is within the congestion charge zone.

This apartment is exactly as advertised. It is clean, fully equipped and ideally located for whatever you want to do in London. St. Paul's Cathedral is a 15 minute walk, the West End is 20 minutes and the closest Tube station is 5 minutes. All the stores you would ever need for day-to-day living are close by and one of London's oldest pubs, Ye Olde Mitre, is just one street over. There are more restaurants and places for casual dining than you could visit in a year!
Dealing with Angela Bowen was a joy. Everything was straight-forward and delivered when she said it would be.
My wife and I went to London as part of a group of 60 or so all of whom rented apartments in and around St. Paul's. Having visited several of these other places we are certain that Sweeps was the best for location, quality of accommodation and price.
We will be back as soon as we are able.
Previous reviews have said it all really, the property is exactly as advertised, we felt very "at home" for four weeks, we loved the pubs, the street market out front and so-easy access to the tube and buses. Very smooth operating with Angela, we had pleasant weather so didn't test the heating. If we get back to London, we won't have to search for accommodation, we KNOW where to stay. Thank you Angela.
C'est avec beaucoup de regret que nous avons quitté Sweeps Apartment à l'issue de notre 4ème séjour dans les lieux. Nous ne pouvons que nous répéter: l'appartement est confortable, clair, propre et bien équipé. L'immeuble est très bien entretenu, sûr; il se trouve dans une rue sans circulation automobile, de jour comme de nuit. Tous les services et les commerces nécessaires sont dans un faible rayon. L'immeuble étant situé entre St Paul's et Trafalgar Square, sa position est parfaite pour effectuer les visites dans Londres. Madame Bowen est une gestionnaire efficace et de toute confiance.
I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed staying here. It was a perfect location near the central line and I slept like a baby with the quiet surroundings. TV and internet were perfect. The building is secure and being a single woman that's important. Coffee shop across the street is great. Its a very well maintained flat, clean, put together, and I was provided with everything I needed. Towels, Hairdryer, etc. Just want to say Angela thank you so much for everything. You have a marvelous place!
We stayed at Sweeps for 4 weeks (July/ August). Firstly I agree with all previous comments. The building is well maintained, clean and fresh. Gated access and key entry into the building means it is safe/ secure. The apartment itself is well equipped, windows are big & west facing which means it is light and airy, décor modern, fresh and clean. Sweeps location means it is ideal for exploring on foot in any direction. Dealing with Angela the owner was faultless and very easy. If you want to experience city living in London this is the apartment for you. Would I stay here again? definitely.

This comfortable apartment is right in central location of London in Leather Lane, Holborn near Chancery Lane tube, Holborn tube, Farringdon tube and Thameslink Kings Cross/St Pancras main line station. It is in an ideal location to explore the City of London. Liverpool Street , the Gherkin, St Pauls, Fleet S, Oxford St, the Embankment the Thames and all famous historic City buildings are within walking distance.
Superb airy apartment in converted Silver Foundry, 'Sweeps' in Hatton Garden Farringdon, the heart of the financial and legal districts near St Pauls, Fleet Street, the Thames. This is the best central location. ' Sweeps' refers to silver slivers created in jewelery making and the building was converted into apartments in 2005.
At the end of Leather Lane on Holborn you can start your walks or you will find regular Bus or tube routes to all locations in London, the City, the West End, South Bank, National Theater, Royal Festival Hall, the Globe, Oxford Street, Marylebone, Fitzrovia and Covent Garden, Leicester Square as well as the Olympic Village.
Superb access to every central location . In walking distance of most major attractions.
You could not get a more Central location than this. It is possible to reach this location easily -Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and City airport Flights are all accessible. There are car parks in the next street.
