Roche beach is 3 km away where there is a lovely fish restaurant.
We brought our villa because we just fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. And we had seen many.
The lay out of the villa, the space the privacy the location, large garden ,private parking, forest the beaches everything really. Restaurants within walking distance.
And then the Costa Del la Luz the beaches and what it has to offer.
Just having your on space and time away with friends and family, enjoying there company.
Privacy your own swimming pool and garden and parking felling happy in your surroundings.
But still close enough to civilization to see this region of Spain but then looking forward to come back to your get away.
We will be leaving the villa tomorrow and have enjoyed our holiday. This area is lovely, we have all enjoyed the beaches and trips to Conil.
It worked out really well with our friends being so close, thank you for sorting it out for them
Thank you for being so helpful
Just returned from a relaxing week at Villa Fortella. Made full use of the facilities at the villa - garden, pool and BBQ. The villa is in a rural location, but has good road links for day trips to Seville, Cadiz and Jerez, as well as shorter trips to Vejer and Conil. Nearby beaches are very good, plenty of space during our visit in June.
Susan was extremely pleasant to deal with, prompt replies to emails plus a whole host of information about the area and things to do was sent through before we left the UK.
Would definitely recommend
Another fabulous week in Villa Fortella. The villa was better than ever looking so bright and fresh. With the newly re-tiled pool and beautiful garden we had our usual 5* holiday in Roche Viejo. We love the proximity to a selection of beaches, never using a main road. Even the rural Venta up the lane is all sprooced up and very tempting. With the horticulture i
Business in the surrounding field we had a fabulous aroma of fresh mint! It's unusual to have 2 covered terraces and with the amazing cloudless skies we could alternate if we wanted shade. Thank you again Susan, your your home in the sun is top notch and a totally predictable 100% guaranteed holiday spot! We'll be back soon.
We love Villa Fortella. Our second wonderful holiday here and surely not our last. We adore the rural yet accessible location. Fantastic choice of long sandy beaches or little coves within a couple of kms. The pine forests at hand. The quiet lanes with horticulture in abundance. The occasional horse grazing or trotting past the villa on the little lane. A beautiful big garden featuring the centrepiece big pool is a magnet to us and with two terraces to relax on catching sun or shade all day long. The villa is so well kitted out and most comfortable should we wish to be indoors. Comfy beds and tele are a little taste of home. Infact Villa Fortella with its comfort and rural location with proximity to a choice of beaches and cafes, is like our home in Suffolk....... but with a lot more warmth, sunshine and that unspoilt Spanish flavour. Thank you for another wonderful holiday in your special home.
To coin a phrase 'it does exactly what it says on the tin' - the description of the property & surrounding area given in the listing are absolutely spot on.
It's a very good size modern villa, very comfortable & well equipped and generously provided with crockery, cutlery, kitchenware etc. The temperature during our stay was well into the 30s so the shaded outdoor dining area was most welcome as was the pool. Hazel the local contact was very friendly, always willing to help but never intrusive.
This isn't the area to go to if you want karaoke bars or British pubs. It's the real Spain where the beach at Roche a few minutes drive away has a couple of rocky coves at one end then a continuous stretch of golden sand with plenty of space. Commercialisation runs to a couple of beach bars. Nearby Conil is more cosmopolitan with plenty of bars & restaurants along its quaint streets while La Barossa has a prom for a pleasant late evening stroll to its varied eating & drinking spots. Again the beaches at both are superb.
The coast road and connecting motorways mean that Cadiz, Jerez & Seville or Tarifa & Gibraltar are within easy reach. All in all a wonderful area for a relaxing holiday in the sun and a first rate base to explore it from.
My family and i stayed at Susan's villa for the first time in Jun this year and we had a wonderful holiday.
We arrived into Malaga Airport and the directions given by Susan were accurate and easy to follow. The drive was straight forward which meant we got to the villa in less than 3hrs.
communication with Susan was great especially as we had a flight delay to start our holiday and so had to rearrange our arrival times, we were given a local contact for while we were there and they were very helpful too, answering any questions we had.
The villa was perfect, it was clean and tidy and kept to a high standard and had everything as described in the listing plus more. It's enclosed garden was great for our children who could play all day and the pool was lovely for cooling off after a busy day in the sun. The barbeque was well used and the outside dining area was where we ate most of our meals (even when we got take away!).
The beach is also close by and takes a few mins by car (not really close to walk) and was not crowded at all while we were there.
There is a fruiteria called Manolas which you can walk to if you need some essentials and it is an easy drive to supermarkets. (10-15mins)
There are some restaurants within walking distance and a few that are a very close drive. we enjoyed our final night at El timon near the beach at Roche.
There is plenty of information of places to visit and things to do, the hard thing is finding time to fit everything in!
We visited the water park (aquaventure), medina sidonia ( a small traditional village with small roads especially for a 9 seater!), Gibraltor, Barissa, went sherry tasting in Jerez, and went to the carnival in Conil de la Frontera which was amazing.
We really loved the area as it is still very Spanish and not too busy with tourists and is also quiet but close to amenities.
We will definately be returning to this Villa next year (if we can wait that long!) and have already recommended it to our friends and family.
Thank you Susan, we had a wonderful holiday!
Very nice villa and pool, well located for day trips, both cultural and retail. Good beaches a short car ride away (too far to walk), better than the Med'. Beaches were markedly more populated at weekends than mid week. Car essential.
We went in August arriving on a Spanish Bank Holiday, Conil was very lively and busy, with lots of young Spanish holidaymakers. It was too hot during the day stray far from the pool or the beach, August definately is not the month for sight-seeing.
Gibraltar is excellent for perfume, alcohol, jewellery, watches and the prices are in pounds, if you know the prices at home it is possible to negotiate and get some real bargains. I was disappointed not to see Jerez, Seville or Ronda, so I will have to return soon.
Susan the owner was very helpful
Our villa is situated in a lovely tranquil location within easy reach of Conil a pretty white coastal town with cobbled streets. It’s a lively town with weekly markets tapas bars, pavement cafes and restaurants inviting you to take part in the Spanish way of life. Also near is Nova Sancti Petri, a more modern town with fine seafront restaurants, hotels, horse riding, water sports and a highly acclaimed 36 hole golf course, with other golf courses nearby. The region is famous for it’s spectacular scenery and rich traditions. Charming villages and towns grace this unique region that you can enjoy year round thanks to the fair sunny climate. Cadiz said to be the oldest inhabited city in Europe, Seville, with its magnificent architecture Medina Sedonas 15th century church and many other old hill top villages close by. The Costa del La Luz is relatively undeveloped and there are many untouched vast white sandy beaches, which even in the summer you'll have no problem finding a quiet space.
