Very nice unit
Located close to several underground lines, you can be anywhere in the downtown area within a few minutes. Even if you take a day trip several train stations are close by, it is highly convenient.
The unit itself is well kept, and has all the amenities that you may want for a longer stay. Almost all appliances and furniture are in good shape and show that they are new. One of us had a bit of a mobility problem, and the unit worked well, with the shower stall and the lift. This is a serious plus, since it was hard to find units with those features in London.
There is a local supermarket across the street and a chain supermarket around the corner. Several restaurants on that street and a nice pub in the corner. This area feels safe at all hours .
The landladies, though they are not local, they are very responsive, I do not think there was a time when I had to wait for more than a few hours to hear back from them.
Overall, an excellent choice.
Thanks a lot Hugo!!!
welcome back anytime!
truly 5* guest!
"Centrally located, with Fitzrovia and Camden, on each end, and with great connection across the whole of the capital".
Just outside the building: restaurants, pubs, convenience stores and bigger supermarkets.
In King's Cross area, see King's Cross and St Pancras station plus Harry Potter's Platform 9th, and Fitzrovia, right in the middle of things. The famous Oxford Street shops are few minutes away, and London Zoo is also close by, but some of its nooks and crannies are surprisingly (and refreshingly) quiet for such a central location.
Outstanding clubs, music venues and museums nearby, much-loved the green spaces, the popular Granary Square and the pretty stretch of the Regent's Canal, all of which makes King's Cross in its own right. Writers Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud all lived here in the day, and echoes of Fitzrovia's bohemian past to modern, metropolitan charm.
Things to do in King's Cross:
- British library
- Camley street natural park
- Kings place: music art and food
- Welcome collection
- London canals museum
- Camden Town: visit the eclectic, historical cradle of punk!
