About Juliet Arthur
We live in a beautiful village called Lindfield in West Sussex with our 3 children and cocker spaniel called Molly. We are a family who love the sea and all the activities that it offers. We are looking forward to learning new skills on the water such as kite surfing and windsurfing, to name but a few.
Juliet Arthur purchased this House in 2018
Why Juliet Arthur chose Chichester
We have always loved coming to Bracklesham Bay for our summer holidays and are so excited to have finally bought our own house to escape to at weekends and school holidays. When we looked round Kuta we knew this was the perfect place for us to fulfil all our seaside dreams. Bracklesham Bay is such a great location. The children can walk to the beach or cycle to the shops in East Wittering, which has some great coffee shops and surf shops and all the necessary supermarkets, groceries and butchers. Chichester is only a 20 minute drive away for more serious shopping or sightseeing.
What makes this House unique
Kuta is fantastic for children as it is so near to the sea and also has a large, secure garden with a trampoline. The games room is full of entertainments for all ages, even we enjoy playing on the arcade game! And for the adults, the outdoor seating area is perfect for relaxing in the summer or eating al fresco. And if you fancy eating out, Billy's on the Beach is only a short walk down the road. The house has been designed for ease and comfort, with all modern comforts at your fingertips. It always feels such a treat to stay there.

Kuta is a great holiday house for family and friends. Good location near to the sea. Lovely walks.
Thank you for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed your stay!
Lovely setting - lots of house rules!
There were many lovely features of this property - the open plan living space was great for our family and the location was good. It was also very well equipped and we had a lovely welcome basket of goodies on arrival. However, there were some aspects that we think we should have been aware of before booking such as not being able to use the hot tub after 6pm. We were also made aware on arrival that hot water is limited to particular times of the day. Whilst this could be changed, and was changed for us on request, we think there should be an option to have this sorted before arrival. We also had an issue with the shower and bath in the main bathroom. We were told that it was set to the ‘right temperature for most people’ but this wasn’t appropriate for our toddler and baby and despite following the instructions to adjust carefully, this left the bath and shower not working. This was sorted, but required us to wait in for an hour and a half of our holiday so that the plumber could do what he could to enable us to at least use the bath for the children. The games table described in the details didn’t work. Not a major issue but it was something that was advertised as a feature of the house and one we would have used. Some of the other rules listed in the property handbook included things like wiping down the doors of the wet room as they are oak and they stain - not great for a wet room then! Whilst we take care of any property we stay in, it did feel like there were a lot of rules which were not previously shared before booking and whilst we enjoyed our stay at the property because of the time with our family, we wouldn’t choose to stay there again.
Thank you for your review of our property, particularly the very positive aspects of the review. To address your concerns, we would comment as follows:
• With reference to the hot water timings, we believe that heating the water between the hours of 6.30am to 10.00am and 5.30pm to 9.00pm is adequate for most people’s requirements. As you point out, these were changed to meet your requirements as soon as you contacted us.
• In respect of the bathroom issue, we became aware of the problem shortly before your stay and notified you of the problem with clear instructions regarding the settings. It is unfortunate that these instructions were not followed and as a result a plumber was called out on the same day to resolve the problem.
• The games table was in good working order prior to your stay. Your review has alerted us to the problem with the controller which has now been rectified.
• The rules of the house have now been shared on the website for future tenants.
