About Sweet Lisbon Cosy Holidays
Hi there! We are Helena and Ana. Two friends united by the love of the simple and good things in life. We love to travel, visit different countries and cities. Meet new people, because it always gives us a different perspective. Our Paradise? Friends, beach, beautiful places, good readings, good music, good wine (red) and gin tonic at the end of the day! Together we've created Sweet Lisbon Cosy Holidays, a small business dedicated to manage holiday homes and our own guesthouse. What started as an hobby is now our life. You'll find our paradise in all of them. Well, except for the beach and gin tonic... Sorry! We can always point you in the right direction! We have departed in this adventure because we love our beautiful Lisbon and we are looking forward to share it with you. See you soon!

Why Sweet Lisbon Cosy Holidays chose Santo Antonio
We fell in love with this apartment, first because we love old houses and this one in particular due to the location and space. The building is from 1857, unfortunatelly all the features from that time have disappeared with the renovations, apart from a few "frescos" we were abble to uncover, but we loved the different disposition of the living areas. As for the location, Principe Real is our favourite neighbourhood in Lisbon. The architecture, the design shops, the restaurants and bars makes this area one of the most interesting to visit in our beautiful city.
What makes this Apartment unique
What we loved about this apartment, was the location which is perfect to visit all of Lisbon easily, and the space. The apartment was totally renovated by us, since it was a blank canvas and we loved every minute of it!

Anyone who’s visited Lisbon and probably every guidebook will tell you that you can’t go to Lisbon and not see the Alfama neighborhood. And they’re right. The Alfama has the deepest history. It was one of the only areas spared from the 1755 earthquake. It’s home to the oldest cathedral, the biggest castle, the best miradouros, and its tiny alleys and winding streets are a magical maze to get lost in. But, it’s Príncipe Real that is our favorite.
Príncipe Real is like the older, sophisticated sister to the more famous, boho-chic Bairro Alto, filled with trendy restaurants, grand mansions, tiny antique shops, Moorish kiosks, and miniature gardens. This neighborhood is located between Miradouro São Pedro de Alcântara, and the neighborhood of São Bento. It is known for its vibrant LGBT scene, sophisticated shopping areas and vintage art galleries where you can inhale the artistic spirit of Lisbon. Because most tourists turn around at the miradouro, Príncipe Real has retained its local flavor.
Life in Príncipe Real centers around the Jardim do Príncipe Real. At its core is a large cedar tree that fans into a circular shade. There’s a playground, a fountain, and plenty of benches in the shade, though many people would rather sunbath on the grass. The park also hosts a farmers’ market on Saturdays, with an antique and craft fair joining in on the last weekend of the month. If you’re looking for a real treasure, this is the place to shop. Besides sporting amazing views, Rua da Escola Politécnica is lined with the best antiques and boutiques in town. Whether you’re on the hunt for a collector’s item from the 1800s or a fashion forward dress, you’re in the right place.
