About the property

Large one bedroom/ one bath apt. Tons of character & charm on famous Magazine st

The location couldnt be any better. It is on Magazine st in the beautiful Garden District. The old, renovated building from the 1800's has incredible exposed brick, hardwood floors, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. You are steps from the best restaurants and shopping the city has to offer. It is about a $5 uber ride/ or 1 1/2 walk to downtown and the french quarter. Close to D-Day museum and warehouse district art galleries.

The apt is very large. It has one bedroom and one bath but has a queen pull out sofa and a twin sleeper chair. Perfect for families with kids & couples. The kitchen has everything you would need for meals or to entertain. There is a very large wrap around balcony overlooking Magazine st. A great place to have a drink and relax and people watch.

Perfect Garden District Location

We loved this VRBO rental! We were apart of a wedding that took place at Il Mercato right across the street. Very convenient! Also, so close to cute shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Would definitely stay here again. We had friends from the wedding stop by the VRBO over the weekend and they all wanted the information for this place for their next visit to NOLA.

Also, the pictures don't do the balcony justice. Huge, awesome, wrap around balcony that overlooks Magazine St!

Very quaint in a wonderful neighborhood

The area was so great with simple decor and the wine bar below is FANTASTIC! Was 4 blocks from the St Charles street car that runs to Bourbon St. or it’s about a $7-$8 Uber ride from Bourbon St. when your just to tired to walk anymore.

Stayed with my dad for his 75th bday gift and it was memorable for experience.

Loved this little VRBO! I was perfect for a weekend stay!!

Everything we needed was available! There were even snacks and little champagne and orange juices for mimosas! The decor is so cute and the condo was spacious for two couples to stay! Loved the balcony for champagne toasts before NYE dinner!!!

Beautifully Appointed Property with Huge Wrap Around Balcony

This is the second time we have stayed in this beautiful Magazine Street property with a wrap around balcony. When we visit a city we rarely stay in the same place twice but the neighborhood and space is perfect for exploring New Orleans and has a wonderful open concept kitchen with high ceilings ideal for cooking a holiday dinner which we do with family every year.The views of Magazine Street are striking from the floor to ceiling windows .It is also beautifully decorated and the hosts leave great,locally inspired snacks and drinks. If we were to live in New Orleans this would definitely be the neighborhood, just blocks from the cable car, close enough to the action but quiet to get a good nights sleep.The hosts are responsive and helpful but give you the kind of privacy expected with renting a private home or apartment. We will be back again next year to enjoy this unique town and beautifully appointed property.

Next time you should try another apt we have further up magazine about 1 1/2 miles its vrbo # 839069 if you want to explore a whole new area with a little different feel. The apt is very large and beautiful yall would love it!

Very Nice Place

The apartment is beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and the gallery is fantastic! The place really embodies classic New Orleans, with all the sights, sounds and smells of the city. The location is great.

Very elegant and New Orleans-y. We look forward to staying again on future trips!

Lovely Apartment but won't be back

We came to New Orleans for our anniversary and were very excited to find this apartment. The apartment is absolutely lovely but we did have a couple of issues, the second of which is why we won't be back. First, there are codes to enter the unit (one for the front door and one for the apartment) those had been reversed on our correspondence and it wasn't until we got to the apartment that we realized we had no contact info for the owner so it took us a while trying combinations before we figure it out. Second, we never heard from the owners during our stay other than on Monday morning around 9:00 a.m. Someone entered the apartment without knocking (which we assume was the owner) once he realized we were there he loudly apologized saying he thought we were out for the day and quickly left. Needless to say this left us very rattled and still questioning why he would come into the apartment unannounced and never contact us with an explanation since there were no cleaning services, etc. provided.

Owner's Response: Barbara, I am sorry that y'all did not have a wonderful weekend and that you were not satisfied. My husband did make the mistake of entering the apt by accident, to check on something ( he was supposed to go into apt B). I wasn't aware it was an incident that needed an explaination. I am sorry. I am also sorry about the mix up with the codes, my mistake. I am always available by email and would of responded as soon as I was aware . I was in kentucky for the weekend so I may not of been as fast to respond as usual. I usually do not interrupt my renters weekends unless they need something that is why I did not contact you all. After two years we have never had a problem or received such a poor review. Would like to offer you something if you do decide to return. Hope to have you visit again, Poe
